> 24 hourI provide long distance transport for large breed dogs going into rescue. Managing dogs, keys, wallet, phone, poop bags, water, food... or some combo of above is a lot... especially on the interstate with unfamiliar doggies. These carabiners are the real deal and are worth every penny. I bought and recommend this larger size. Note the very trustworthy, easy to use locking mechanism... this feature alone makes them worth every penny. This item, paired with the Nite Ize Cinch A Lot stretch strap(s) (currently sold on Amazon), Im able to bundle the must haves to one carabiner and dog related items to another carabiner while keeping my hands free to actually walk the dog. OR ... In other cases... I use the carabiners as a guy line, or to wrap and lock around a sturdy tree trunk for those doggies shy about peeing on demand.

> 24 hourRafting trips - holds gear to raft, even when the boat and boaters all flip out mid-rapid. Works well for kayaking too.

> 24 hourThese are big and bulky, great for tasks that involve alot of weight to be held for long times like putting gear and food up high in trees
