In this case small was a good thing. If you have limited space this works well. It does rinse watercolor off very easily. I do small watercolor paintings with limited palette. Perfect for this.

This is such a nice dish for mixing watercolor paint, and I like that it has several smaller sections and one larger one. Since its ceramic, its very easy to clean and doesnt stain. I dont think I would travel with it since it could easily break...I would be more inclined to use a plastic or metal palette for traveling.
