> 24 hourGreat budget M.2 drive for your PS5. It worked and as far as I know, games are loading extremely fast, comparable to onboard storage. The drive read speed was 5,100MB/s when it was formatted by the PS5 upon boot, so the system did warn that the drive was slower that its 5,500MB/s, but real-world usage, works fine.

> 24 hourUPDATE: My initial review below was for the 512 Gig version on a Z390 PCIE3 system. Since then, I have upgraded to a Z690 PCIE4 system and was looking to update to some faster NVME cards as well as replace a Platter HD. So I was only looking for Cheap and faster than what I had. The second image is the PCIE3 NVME drive I am replacing for reference. This was on sale and the cheapest/ best performance that I could find. Great Bang for the Buck. Keep in mind that the Read/Write speeds vary depending on the size NVME that you get. Typically the larger the drive the better the write speeds. Original Review: I got this to help in testing of external hardware. I needed a fast Gen 4 NVMe drive and this has been working great. I have an external SSD enclosure capable of 40 Gb/s which as a theoretical maximum allows up to 5000 MB/s which will never be achieved. What I did notice is this drive performed better on my Thunderbolt 4 port over my Thunderbolt 3 port. 2 different systems. I am not sure why the performance difference between the TB3 and TB4 ports since the TB port specs are the same. This is a good HD as it will work in your PCIe Gen 3 slot, (but only up to the 3000 MB/s speeds) until you get a newer system with a PCIe Gen4 slot which will give you max speed from this HD. Good price and performance for the price.

> 24 hourThis m.2 card work with the PS5. It dosent have a heat sink, it has a thermal shield. This m.2still works well and so far has handle the heat nicely its not the best or the fastes. For a m.2 1tb for 87 us dollars I couldnt pass it up.

> 24 hourAffordable and 5000mbs is more than enough you will not tell the difference in the extra 2000mbs for 60 dollars more

> 24 hourFantastic, would recommend 100%. However do not purchase with anything else from Amazon. It will be shipped an unpadded envelope along with other orders. Yikes....
