At first i was saying its way over priced and it kinda is, but its super durable and its been keeping my water cold and ice still ice for days at a time. I work in construction here in Hawaii where the suns hot and you NEED to drink a lot of water, this thing does exactly what i need it to do, to keep my water ice cold everytime i drink from it. Ive seen other jugs on the job sites ive been on and you see a lot of cracked covers, broken handles, and a lot of dented ones. So far its been taking the abuse well(i do take care of my stuff). Magnet on the top to hold the cap is awesome and super strong, love it. I have read before i bought this that its hard to take of the lid, yes it is hard sometimes but if your a man it shouldnt be so hard where you cant get it off lol

I only had it for little while and I love it. the only down side is that if you screw it on too tight you need the power of a god to un-screw it but I figured out out how to get a good seal on it with out struggling to un-screw when I need too for re-filling, other than that it is prefect and like youd expect it keeps thing cold or hot for hours at a time and it gets me to drink more water because the water I just there at an arms reach and has no flavor ones you give it a good clean (no strong chemicals as instruction say) and has a magnetic cap holder, worth every penny in my opinion, so in conclusion I love this jug because it gets me thru the enterer day with out worrying about running out of cold water and is super sturdy as well, (can dubbed up as a cooler sense the neck of this jug is big enough to fit a caned beavered)

If you spend lots of time outside during the summer, cold beverages are a big deal. This guy holds enough icy cold drink to supply either four adults drinking adult beverages, or several young children guzzling lemonade. The magnetic cap is cool, but not impressive. You really want to pay attention when closing it up as the threads can go off track. Also, too tight and youre sealed for life; too lose and youve got a lap full of Jack n Coke. Weighs a ton, so if youre in trouble, throw it at a bad guy. It will survive being thrown at a bad guy because this jug is TUFF. Id LOVE to know why the manufacturer is asking me to rate Flavor. Thats just wacky.

Bought 13 of these for office gifts. Everybody loves this. Keeps ice all day on the jobsites. One came without a lid but all I need to do is call for a cap. Yeti is the BEST!

This container has very limited practical usage. Yes, it does keep liquids at desired temp for a long time even in direct sun exposure for hours. Yes, its very durable. The fun stops there. I can see this being used for water storage in harsh conditions like construction sites, camping trips, etc. If youre looking to just have it on you for regular use throughout the day, look elsewhere. Its too heavy; carrying it around can be annoying due to weight, and this is coming from a regular gym junkie grown man. Not easy to operate with one hand; this is obvious of course, however due to weight and bulkiness of it, its also cumbersome to have it in your passenger seat in the car and picking it up/putting it down back with one hand at that angle is also annoying. The lid is a HUGE pain in the neck to open up half the time. As all other reviews state, this can be a daunting task which would probably not suit most people. Overall, if you are getting this container for the purpose its intended to, then you will love it and the price tag will be worth it. For casual daily use it probably wont work out. Im going to be returning this and most likely purchasing 2 smaller yeti bottles instead just for the ease of use. Or I may explore other options.

It keeps things cold for a long time. However, this thing is capable of cold fusion or something. Cold welding? Whatever. Basically, itll seal itself shut. The large lid I mean. I used to use a rolling pin to open it, but it eventually broke. I now stick it between the gaps of an iron gate and twist the bottle to open it. I tried twisting it under a fridge to turn the lid, but it lifted the fridge. I tried a stove, it lifted the stove. I tried a car, but it was too time consuming to roll a wheel over the handle. Iron gate worked best. Also, the handle survived all that without being bent. So good quality. Water can tend to taste like soap after a while? Im not sure about that soap thing though.

I must say my gut clenched when I hit confirm for this because of the price. But my hubby spends hours in the field in the heat during harvest and the 1 & 2 qt jugs u can find weren’t enough. There was almost no choices for a gallon except for the very pricey (gulp) Yeti, and maybe some other random things that wudnt do. Yeti passed the test with flying colors! We’d load it with ice and water in the morning- and after spending hours either on the hot floor (engine heat?) of our little semi or in the combine- even if the ice was gone at the end of the day the water was still ice cold! We filled it two days ago to go for a picnic. It spent at least 7-8 hrs in very warm conditions. Came home and left it. 48 hours exactly from first filling it (and we had opened it to drink as is evidenced by the amnt in the pic) there was still decent sized ice chunks left! Amazing. If this thing lasts us for a long time I think I’ll be able to say it was worth the price- although seriously $129 (approx????) is plenty no matter the quality. That’s my only complaint. The magnetic holder to set ur lid on is very strong- so no excuses for losing that lid!!!!
