Ordered the 1 version of this. Its high quality and ties in with the Yolink water sensors I installed earlier. My main supply line is in a terrible place but having this makes it accessible at a moments notice. Installation was easy with pex 1 MIP, no leaks. The main housing is made of softer brass that required a 30MM wrench to properly tighten. Be sure to use plumbers thread seal tape if using all brass fittings.

I purchased this item after I bought a couple of Temp sensors. and have subsequently purchased 3 water sensors, a speaker hub, motion sensor, and the brains of it all the hub that ties into your router. I have been home automating my last two homes for over 25 years. There have been different systems each getting more sophisticated and harder to install and less friendly. I do not believe I have used a system that is in my opinion so intuitive to use and pretty flexible. The build quality is high and a lot of thought has gone into the design aspects of the products. Im currently working on tying in their thermostat to my 100 year old heating system and have had stellar support from the company. If all companies could match the service I have experienced, purchasing products online would be, oh so much more pleasant. Truly the Gold Std. to match. Once I have the t-stat figured out I know I will be purchasing 2 more as I have 3 zones in the house. I have no doubt I will be expanding my current base in time to come. Great Products

I tried other automated valve shut-off motors, and they just didnt have the power to do the job. This motorized ball valve replaced my manual 1 ball valve on my sprinkler main line. I am able to schedule the opening and closing for the hours that my system runs, and even turn it on/off remotely if needed. I installed this because I had a stuck sprinkler zone valve that ran the pump all day. Most people will use this valve for indoor plumbing in connection with a water leak/flood sensor. It would be perfect for a rental unit to be able to remotely turn water or gas lines on/off. The system does require a hub, sold separately. The setup is easy using the phone app. No A/C wiring is needed for the valve, it is powered by 4 AA batteries.

I recently installed the yolink valve/motor/hub system along with 7 yolink water sensors. All components work well, and I have had no problem receiving sensor signals from remote parts of the house. In addition, the hub is 8o ft from the valve, motor and controller which is in an underground valve box 10 ft off the street on my front lot. Valve controller receives signals with no problem and valve operates with no issues either from the box or via app on iphone. I have, as of this point, not set up the 7 sensors to auto the valve when water is present at a sensor. May keep it that way to avoid valve closing on inadvertent water spills. I have system programmed to send iphone email when any sensor notes water. If necessary, I can close valve via the app depending on the circumstances. Programming via app is simple and easy. The installation was straight forward with no problems. My main feed water line is 1-inch sch 40 pvc. The box to contain the yolink controller, valve and motor is as aforementioned approximately 80 ft from yolink hub located in the home. Attached pics show before and after the installation. I used I inch male thread pvc pipe adapters for connection to my 1-inch female threaded valve and then connected pvc main line pipe to the other ends of the two adapters. Must use pvc pipe tape or pipe dope on threads to insure a leak proof seal. I attached the valve controller to the main line pipe with zip ties. I attached it away from the ends of the box and well off the floor of the box. Very small controller box that operates off 4 AA batteries. Easy fit in box. Comparatively speaking, the signals and response time from the hub/system are much better than my hub/Ring system. With Ring, the signal strength is not consistent throughout the house sometimes resulting in streaming errors even after I added their signal boosters. Rings current system technology would never be able to reach anything underground at the distance my yolink hub is from the valve controller. Ring has just expanded its line and Flo by Moen smart water shutoff valve ads say they work with ring. Never work in my application. Ring’s signal is too weak even with signal boosters. As such they were never an option for me. In fact, after researching for a remotely controlled cutoff valve system for outside application, yolink was the only one I felt was competitively priced and would have the signal strength to communicate between the hub and controller in my scenario. Customer Service and support from yolink is great with quick response time to issues or questions. I had several questions relative to the installation prior to purchase of the product and Eric with yolink support answered all questions in a very timely manner, sometimes within an hour. If the equipment holds up, they have the service, support, and technology to become the leader in this market. I will follow up with comments on service of the equipment after some time in use.

Linked to the base AND crosslinked all the sensors straight to the valve incase the internet/power goes out. Wiped some dust off a sensor with a wet paper towel and it: 1. Closed the valve. 2. Sent me a text. 3. Sent me an email. 4. Sent me an alert on my phone. So if all the other sensors work the same then this is pretty amazing YoLink. I wish I could say the same about some of your other stuff.

I have a client who spends 3 or 4 months at a 2nd home. He had a water heater failure that resulted in major basement damage. We discussed a flood sensor and automatic shut off to the tank. But he has concerns with potential frozen pipes elsewhere in his house. After further research, I came upon the YoLink product, and instead of shutting off just the hot water tank, I installd a whole house valve and multiple leak sensors. You need minimal plumbing expertise to install the valve, but the new Push-Fit style connectors make this a pretty simple matter. For the peace of mind this provides, the items are very reasonably priced.

After I experienced a costly water leak at my house, I invested in two Yolink Motorized Water Valves and a dozen Yolink Water Leak Sensors. Now when I leave the house for any extended period, the main water valve shuts off. The leak sensors are positioned at every sink, toilet, washing machine, dish washer, water heater, etc.. Yolink has an ingenious capability to pair the water leak sensors to the main valve so that any detected leak will instantly shut off the water main valve without even using wifi. I use the second Yolink Motorized Water Valve as a pressure relief valve to drain any residual water in the pipes if a leak is detected. It also serves as an method to fill up my pool even if I am away. The Yolink devices use a communication protocol called LoRA which is far superior to wifi for both range and reliability. Yolink products and support are so good that I now use Yolink Smart Plugs, Switches and Motion Sensors. For the combination of technology, quality and value Yolink is the answer and the solution for total peace of mind. Gary Smith La Verne, California

You can go VERY generous with the PTFE tape with the supplied fittings because it will leak. The setup and connection to the YoLink hub was a breeze and I connected 5 water detectors as well.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank YoLink for its fantastic products. I live in a high-rise condominium tower (27 floors) here in Ft Myers Florida and water issues are always top of mind. Just recently we had a hot water tank burst on the 7th floor and it caused over $100k worth of damage to the unit and the ones below. Some residents had to temporarily move while their units were being repaired. This is the second one in less than 12 months. My hot water heater is newer, but I didnt want to take any chances. I decided to invest in the Brass Motorized Valve and Smart Wireless Smart Water Valve Controller. Additionally, I purchased the YoLink Hub and 4 YoLink Water Leak Sensors. I had a professional plumber install the valve. So as fate would have it, (this past Saturday) during my layover in Charlotte NC, travelling to Pennsylvania - I got the dreaded YoLink Alert. Water detected under the Kitchen Sink. [Why doesnt this stuff happen when youre home.] I quickly opened the app and saw that the Shutoff had been initiated and was off. Of course, I was very nervous, so I called the security guard in my building and had him go up to my unit. Sure enough, he found water under my sink, but he said the water was off? I told him about the YoLink. He was very impressed. I had my daughter go over later and clean everything up but needless to say - even though it was a small leak (Water line to the refrigerator sprung a leak), it was fantastic to know that the YoLink System did what it was intended to do. I wish everyone in the building invested in the same system as I have, but at least I know that I wont be the cause of anyone being uprooted. Thank you very much for the excellent products.
