I bought this for my 1970 RV airstream which has no USB ports at all. I loved it had the volt display because I don’t have a good way to monitor the battery. I did not hook it directly to the battery because it wouldn’t reach where I wanted it. It’s about 12 feet from the battery and is .2 volts difference. Not a problem I just know it is .2 higher than what it says.

These fit right into replace a cigarette lighter hole, very convenient. Only thing Id say is the blue I got is pretty bright. At night it reflects off my drivers side window, as I drilled a hole left of the steering wheel. Its nothing I cant fix with some tape, but just know if youre mounting near the side of your vehicle, you could see it reflect in your window at night. I would get the red LED next time, as that would be slightly dimmer. Overall Id buy this again, I bought 3 and have used 2 so far. Very nice item. Oh and the best part! Its a pseudo gauge for your batteries health! The display reads the voltage on your battery so you get an early warning if your battery is dying and you need a new one. Normal operating (while car is on) will be around 14.5 volts, 12.4 or so when its off. So if youre driving and you start to see your voltage drop below 13.5 or so, you may want to run a battery test.

This is a great product because it tells you the battery voltage in real time! Youll see the voltage drop when you crank up the engine and when the car is turned on youll see it go up accordingly. The charger is a fast one and I opted for this double USB-B, theres another one that has one USB-C if you have that type of devices/cables!

Replacing the cigarette lighter with this recessed double USB adapter was a great addition. Plus, it displays the voltage being generated by the alternator so I can see that my charging system is working. Ive put these in three of my cars so far, and theyre reliable.

I wish products should be better described. This is bigger then others I had looked at and was surprised that I didn’t have a bit big enough to mount it. Biggest bit I have is 1”. It does look good and volt readout seems accurate. For the price I would recommend.

it comes with a fuse rated for Christmas lights, so it pop within seconds on plugging it in to a car battery, I got a 15amp fuse rated for 12-15v. And now it works like a charm

Easy to install in the center console of my Jeep TJ. Everything needed for install was included, although i’m not sure why there were ring terminals on the ends of the conductors, I cut them off and soldered longer wires. I wired it to a constant hot but used a small toggle switch mounted beside it, that way we can charge phones with out having the key on and turn the outlet off when the Jeep sits for more than a couple of days.
