These are easy to install with basic tools. You will need about 3 behind the face to install and wire. If youre adding to a new circuit you will want to add a fuse around 10a or so if this is the only thing on there. Beware if you wire this straight to battery it will end up killing your battery if left sitting. If you want to wire to turn off with ignition you will want to add a off road lighting style relay. The trigger wire is connected to your ignition source to turn relay on and off. Then relay is wired straight to battery. That is the proper way to wire additional loads to your ignition. Dont splice into your ignition circuit and power these extra loads. The circuits were never designed to handle it. Now the more technical aspects these are QC port and will quickly charge your fast charge devices up to 18w also. Theres also fast charging 15w WIRELESS chargers that work well. But check the specs make sure its 15w.

I installed this in place of my coin holder on my 2010 Ford F150. I also installed a similar outlet (without a voltmeter but from same company) on the passengers side in place of the 12 V power outlet. They both look great and charge very fast. I like the metal housings and face plates. The voltmeter is VERY bright in my opinion. I intend to get a small piece of window tint to tame its luminous glares during the night time hours.

Installed multiple chargers in my work truck. The chargers work well. The reason for a four-star rating is out of six units one was DOA. It wasnt worth the effort to return it. My choice

This charger is great, I like the the voltmeter display. I checked it against my personal voltmeter and it was spot on. My only disappointment was it seemed to be slightly larger than the 12 volt accessory plug I pulled out, so I had to reem out the hole larger. I only mention this because I have bought several other usb chargers like this one but have never had to reem them out before. Other than that I am extremely happy.

factory one was rusty and didn’t work so i replaced it and put in a new fuse and works great. very simple install even with very minimal knowledge or experience with electrical. the voltage meter is nice too so i know if the battery is going bad

This is a great size - fits right where the lighter socket was, and is small enough to fit almost any application. The USB chargers seem to work well, so its a bonus having two chargers where the light was. The integrated voltmeter is handy if you sit in the car with accessories plugged in: you can monitor the battery. Wish I had one of these as a teenager - no more run down batteries on make-out point! But, the blue light is BRIGHT. Bright enough that it is a distraction. I had to take it off the motorcycle and put it in the car with some shaded tape over it.

Was easy enough to install. I replaced my factory power outlet located in the back of my center console. My only gripe is the outer diameter is quite larger than I expected and I had to trim the factory hole to make it fit.

I like the idea of this productI put this on my Kabota tractor show at a glance I can see if the charging system is charging and if I need be I can charge my phone or any other accessory
