This is definitely not the vibrant purple as in the photo - its more of a pale blah lavender. Im really disappointed in the color but I havent decided if I wanted to return it because I cant find a replacement for a previous umbrella I had that WAS vibrant purple.

Its a wonderful umbrella. Looks good (grey), big enough (42 is larger than 38, obviously), very well made. Dont know how long before it breaks in the wind but for now im happy and will buy another one. Folded in case, its not small, OK for a car but not for a purse. * The only thing i dont like is that its not easy to put it back into the nylon sleeve (or in the case without the sleeve) but i made my own and problem is solved, for me anyway.

Nice sunflower design to chase away the rain or compete with the sun…but single layer and without vent pockets for windy days

Bought this umbrella to travel out of the country because it was cute and compact. Took it out to try it, pressed the button and it opened and would not close. The button also fell through the hole when I pressed it and another piece fell off as well. Had to pretty much force it close and quickly wrap around the fastener to get it to stay closed for a return. Definitely gonna go with a diff company l.

UPDATE: This umbrella broke the second time I used it. I pressed the up/down button to open it and one of the arms must have been loose. I tried to get it back in place but either way Im returning it. ORGINAL REVIEW: Timing couldnt have been better. I bought this umbrella, arrives two days later and then it rains that night. No problem! Auto up and down both work well. Plenty of room for one person to stay dry, a bit tight for two people. I REALLY like the zipper soft side case that it comes with. This makes it perfect for storage in a trunk. If also has a thin cover like those you world normally get with an umbrella. The zipper case was a nice added bonus and very functional.

Mine wont stay open. Color is faded like not in focus.

Dont let the venting fool you—the first time I took this umbrella out it immediately blew inside out. While the deploy/retract mechanism feels sturdy, after less than a year (and many, many times flipping the umbrella back to the correct orientation), the spokes have bent and cracked. I really wouldnt recommend this for anything other than a light drizzle. The reflectivity is nice for visibility, but thats about all I can say for it.

Too heavy and awkward to open.

The quality of this umbrella, the feel is very good, it is very convenient to use, I especially like the blue color, it makes the mood more pleasant. Thanks!
