It works right out the gate when plugged into a USB power outlet. At first I used a portable USB and it only worked in two minute intervals. But connected to a proper outlet it runs smoothly and is as advertised. Good quality for decent value!

Very quiet as it spins. Can spin clockwise and counterclockwise. The color slides are a nice addition to photos.
