> 24 hourFirst, let me say that as far as heat bulbs go these do a great job of keeping consistent temps. I own a small reptile business and converted several of my critters over to the mini halogens. What I dont care for is that I purchased a 3 pack of these bulbs April 25th for 3 separate enclosures; its just a little over a month later and all 3 bulbs are already burnt out. I had each bulb set up up on a timer to run 12 hour shifts, so I figure at $6 a bulb they should be able to run more than 432 hours before expiring. Its almost too expensive to use them for more than a few enclosures at $6 a pop and have them burn out so fast, hence the 3 stars.

> 24 hourBought the 3 pack of Night Red 25w bulbs. Im already on to my second bulb in less than 2 weeks. The bulb runs maybe 7 or 8 hours a day. It is only switched on/off once per day. So its seen less than 100 run hours and maybe 12 on/off cycles. Seems like it should last longer than that. We will see how long the 2nd bulb lasts.

> 24 hourThis wattage is great for keeping the temp around 78-80 degrees in short cages (12-18 inch) or maintaining 75-78 degrees at night in a taller cage (24 inch).

> 24 hourI used these over my crested gecko when Temps dropped too low in my home for her to go without heat and then for my tortoise. Ive just bought my second pack because my 3rd bulb finally blew. One 3 pack lasted me about a year though so its worth the cost to keep the babies comfortable.

> 24 hourHad I known how harmful these are to reptile and amphibian eyes, I never would have purchased them. Since their pupils dont detect the red light it burns their retinas over time. Im switching over to using CHEs on dimmers and thermostats in conjunction with UTHs on thermostats.
