Zoo Med (2 Pack) Repti Tuff Splashproof Halogen Lamps 75 Watts

Bought this Nov 27th. Burned out by Dec 14th. Very disappointed.

While I didn’t want to buy 2 bulbs at first, it was a good value. The light worked perfectly, and I now have a backup in case (for whatever reason), this bulb goes out.

Using for turtle heat lamp

I use it with my turtle tank.

My turtles love these. They spend just enough time under them. Not too hot, not too little heat. I keep it about 6-8 from them, and it keeps them nice and warm. Ive been using them for several years, and have only come across one that burned out after about 2-3 weeks. For the most part, I replace them after several (4-6) months. The 2 pack gets me through the year. Quality product.

Finally found the perfect wattage so my Mississippi Map aquatic turtle is basking.

A couple things I’ve experienced with this bulb. It does last about a year before actually burning out because of the constant 14 hours I have it on a day And it gets extremely hot on the metal you will have to get a ceramic heat lamp if you want to purchase this product if you want the most life from it. Just like with past bulbs I’ve brought if you leave this bulb in for too long it will melt the contacts on your lamp and it may stop working this is what I’ve experienced. but in all it’s a great bulb for the price. my red eared slider is satisfied with this. Caution clamp on ceramic lamps may not be a good choice to combine with this product it’s too much weight for the clamp to handle this is what I’ve experienced. I would recommend.
