Zoo Med Naturalistic Terrarium Hood, 12-Inch

This is a great hood to fit the Zoo Med 12x12 base terrariums. Nice fit and finish without too much light leakage under the lip, unlike the Exo Terra 12x12 and hood I have. You can fit a really long bulb in there! Jungle Dawns should be no problemo. The reflector is almost twice the length of the Exo Terra!

I have 2 of the 12 s and 2 of the 24 I Love the look and the fit and the on and off switchs Wished they were more rust resistant........ The nochs in the 24 on fit my 5.5gals. Perfect but the screws rust pretty quickly

I purchased my Zoo Med terrarium at a local pet store and was debating buying a clip on light or an actual hood like this one. Im SO glad I got this hood! It looks so much better than a clip on light would have and it works perfectly. It only has one light socket, so if you are looking for something with room for a day and night light, this isnt the hood for you. Its a great deal, and I would recommend it for a basic day light heating bulb.

Love using this for my UVB light for my bearded dragon.

I used the lamp literally only once before it wouldn’t power absolutely anything else. I even used the recommended UVB light for this lamp only to waste money finding out it wasn’t the bulb. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Product only lasted for about a month before it broke the first time. Second time I brought this it lasted slightly longer but didnt make it to 2 months.

Needed second hood to go on my vivarium so I could add night light. Two will fit on one tank. Matches the one I have. What is nice about it is it takes up to a 60 watt bulb. The other brand only takes up to a 15 watt bulb. I feel it and it doesnt get overheated. So depends what your needs are.
