Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot Lamp Replacement Bulb 50 Watts - Pack of 3

My son has a pet corn snake which is what we are using these bulbs for. Our current setup has a under tank heat mat that is ran off of a temperature controller 24/7. The lamp is on a 12 on/12 off schedule from 9:00 to 9:00. The lamp provides light in addition to an LED light as well as providing heat from above for Diesel (his snake). These bulbs do what they are supposed to do. My issue with them is not really their fault, just the nature of this style of bulb… they burn out too quickly. I like to stay away from recurring costs as much as possible. This is why all the light bulbs in our house are LEDs. They require changing much less frequently resulting in less money and time wasted. But, of course, LEDs produce little to no heat. I’m still searching for an alternative that will provide the heat and light we need in the tank but not require ordering and changing bulbs frequently. For now, these are doing just fine!

At a distance of 9 inches with an ambient temperature of 75°F the basking spot maxed at 85°F. I thought I got a defective bulb or something, but I got the same results with three different bulbs.

Can’t rate on quality. Product arrived shattered

I would give this zero stars if I could. This product is not advertised correctly. It says in the description that it is a pack of 3 but it is only one individual bulb.

Used for Turtle tank.

These last longer than other brands I have tried and heat output is dependable.

These are lasting 2 months each bulb and when I purchased this brand from pet store I ususally get minimum of 1 year each bulb.

It’s a decent deal on these lamps, but so far two of the three lamps have burned out prematurely. They weren’t packaged very well and the product boxes (not the shipping boxes) were a little crunched. So I think that the blame for that falls on the seller. Usually I can get between 6-18 months with these lamps, but the first two have only lasted a few weeks each.
