16-04-2025My old Xbox 360 does not have an hdmi out. This product helped me connect it to the modern tv. It does require you to ise the power adapter. Otherwise it wont work. So far so good.

> 3 dayRecently got back into retro gaming (thanks, SOFTDRINKTV!) And fired up the Xbox 360 I’ve had since 2010 or so. Enjoyed the dose of nostalgia, but was not overly enthused about the blurriness from old optical cables. Realized that advances in technology made available an adapter such as this to give you a much fuller experience, and it was worth it! Pros: Completely streamlines the quality of the games you are playing. Even more noticeable on high-quality TV’s. Pretty good sound enhancement. Fit seamlessly into the 360 and had no issues getting it to work. Quirks: Although it provides worthy enhancements, its not perfect. There is a small bit of warping at certain times depending on what’s happening on the screen. It isn’t a deal breaker, but you will be reminded that this is a 360 you’re playing after all. There is also occasional “ghosting” or uneven “flicker” of the image at times, but it isn’t so often that it’s a deal breaker. It’s one of those “ you get what you pay for”. If you’re diving back into the classics on that dusty old 360 you still have, this does a good job of smoothening the experience. It’s worth it.

> 3 dayI plugged in the unit and it worked, we got an Xbox image on the screen. Then I left it alone for 4 days - when the kids powered up the xbox no picture would appear on the screen, I had to power cycle the HDMI unit - and as they play Tetris the screen keeps turning off and power cycling the HDMI unit only fixes it for a few minutes - I expected better especially for the price.

> 3 dayThis is slightly more expensive then the component to HDMI converters you can easily find for about $10 less. This is a more elegant solution since it has the dedicated xbox360 connector and outputs to HDMI. This means that digital audio is also transmitted with the HDMI. The component to HDMI converters dont have a digital audio input only RCA so I was worried audio output would be significantly degraded. With this product I did not have to worry about a work around audio setup and I maintained high quality digital audio output to my surround receiver through HDMI.

> 3 dayHello Folks. Just an FYI, if you have the HDMI connection with your XBOX 360, use a standard HDMI cable. This is over priced and any standard cable will work. But if you want to spend your money, just forward it to me ;) cheers.

> 3 dayThe converter works 100% as intended - takes the COMPONENT video signal and converts to HDMI. No scaling - purely, for example, 720P Component -> 720P HDMI (resolution based on settings within Xbox 360 Dashboard). I purchased this specifically since the seller had listed that it did NOT require external USB power; in fact, it DOES require USB, which you can take from either the back of the Xbox (if not using a WiFi adapter) or from the included wall plug. The only drawback, for me, with this setup is that the HDMI signal is then ALWAYS on, which means that my HDMI switch never knows when the Xbox itself powers on. Because of this, Ive had to run the USB to one of the front ports and then plug it in each time I want to use the Xbox. Not ideal - would have preferred it to turn on w/ the Xbox. I have one of the old Mad Catz converters and it draws power from the A/V port, so it only has power when the system turns on. My suggestion would be for the seller to have this converter also do that.
