> 24 hourI was trying to drill a 1.25 hole into a plastic project box thats about 1.5mm thick. The drill bit started the hole nicely but as the hole saw started to enter into the plastic the saw became dislodged from the screws mandrel/chuck. Then the mandrel became disconnected from the hole saw and jammed in the plastic. I twisted the screw to get it out and then had to use a hammer to get the hole saw and the rest of the 1.25 round plastic out of the project box. This left a nasty edge on the outside of the hole of the project box. I tried sanding the edges but ended up mucking up the exterior of the box. I probably should of used a round metal shaving tool (I dont know what theyre called.)

> 24 hourSo I bought this product - gasp - to drill holes. There are two shanks, one of which is for the larger saws, and one for the smaller saws. The larger one works okay. The smaller one is utter and complete, well, fertilizer. So the way it works is this: the little drill bit has an indentation on it. You stick the drill bit into the shank, and then tighten down a little allen screw to hold the drill bit in. But the allen screw isnt flush to the surface of the shank. This leads to two problems. The first is that the allen screw is softer than a babys bottom. Any pressure at all and it just strips out. The second problem is that you cant slide the saw down over the shank when the allen screw is protruding. So what you end up with is a drill that you can only barely make work, if at all. Its garbage. Utter and complete garbage. I tried to think of ways to get around the problem and I managed to make the holes I needed. Its really not well suited for the kind of plastic I had to drill into - it seemed to actually melt the plastic and bunch it up around the edge. That was easily fixed with a file, so that one is just a lesson learned. But the fact that it has zero durability and is pretty much unfit for purpose is a deal breaker. Im probably going to order a better set and run over this one with a truck. With this kind of durability, no way will it damage the tires.

> 24 hourThis is a pretty good set of hole saws. The price is right and the quality of the components are good.

> 24 hourDont count on this to cut a hole in a precise location, or to have the hole cleanly cut, as the drill bit doesnt necessarily center the round cutting blade - if you can get the round cutting blade to even seat upon that bit at all. The first hole blade I tried to use wouldnt seat because its cutout hole was off center. It is unusable. The second one I tried could be bolted on, but wouldnt turn evenly in the drill. Instead it wobbled back and forth even when it was properly tightened in a drill that could handle every other bit its ever taken. But that was sufficient for cutting the hole I needed at that moment. I dont know if any of the other hole bits will work for my purposes. This was certainly inexpensive - and if your expectations are low, it may work for you. Its definitely NOT High Precision (as advertised.) For a birdhouse hole, a bird probably wont care if its off-kilter. But if youre cutting a hole where it matters, you might want to spend a little more and go with something better.

> 24 hourI was looking for a hole saw kit to install a new deadbolt onto an exterior door. The instructions for the deadbolt said I needed 2-1/8 and 1 holes so I looked for a kit that included both of those sizes. Surprisingly that was kind of difficult to find. I could easily find kits with 1 or the other size but this was the only kit I could find with both sizes I needed. So I give credit for including those sizes, which I imagine are standard for installing a deadbolt or door knob. My problem with this kits comes from the quality. The metal of each of the bits is extremely pitted and looks to be scratched up and used, but was not. Very poor quality control. Also the case they came in is very cheap and the plastic latch is extremely flimsy and will break off after opening and closing a few times. This is not a tool I will need often, potentially ever again, but I would likely look for a better quality kit if you are searching for hole saw bits.

> 24 hourThe pilot hole drill will not get through anything at all, it failed to make a hole through MDF. One of the larger diameter saws bent out of shape on the first use drilling some MDF. The metal used for the drills is complete garbage, yeah its cheap but for a bit more you could get something a lot nicer that actually lasts a single use.

> 24 hourThe kit got me through one job I needed it for, thats the only reason I gave it 2 stars. The center drill bit broke out, the set screw that hold it in place wont get tight enough to keep it from spinning without stripping out the allen head. Overall, buy a better quality set if you can.

> 24 hourBought these since the set I had was missing a size or two. Used it to cut into some very dense plywood using my drill. It got hot enough to smoke so I had to stop and let it cool a few seconds and use a wire brush to remove the wood that got stuck on the teeth, but after a couple of bites it made it through each time. No warping or damage to teeth after drilling about a dozen holes. I also liked this one because it came with one drill bit for all the hole saws, unlike another set I returned where some of the hole saws only fit the larger drill bit which was too big for my 3/8 drill.
