I bought Mellanox switches (and cables) and wanted to connect our Cisco Catalyst 3750-X stack (12.5X firmware) using the C3KX-NM-10G modules. The Mellanox cables would not work and a Cisco TAC case told me to try a different type of cable. We tried the undocumented commands to disable HCL checks on the transceivers but it was still failing. I found these and ordered 4 to test. The part number I searched for and ordered (SFP-H10GB-CU3M) was not the same as what was on the items shipped, but I assumed they were compatible so I tried it. Worked perfectly.

Works perfectly but the connector protection does make it difficult to close the door to a standard rack without it being bent. I’d worry about attenuation and durability long term if it was in a rack that is frequently opened and closed

Cheaper and functional solution to a SFP+ Transceiver / cat 7 cable, with the added bonus of lower power comsumption. This cable is used to connect a PC workstation with a 10Gtek X520-10G-1S NIC (Intel 82599 chipset) to a Netgear MS510TX switch. The solution works and have a reliable 10 Gb/s network link.

Recently built a storage server for my video production company. I attached 2 editing bays to the storage server via 10Gtek SFP cabling. Read / Write performance has been stellar.

I have no idea what the lifespan is on some of this stuff, but 4 years is not it! Still going strong.

This product is a 10GB/sec SFP+ to SFP+ optical patch cable. I put one end of it into my Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Infinity and the other end into my Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 48 Lite. It worked. What else is there to say?

I really like 10Gtech brand lately. First choice when available. Great pricing, though increasing lately.

Works well on my 10G network between my NAS and switch and between my PC and switch.

Edit: seller updated product description to accurately describe the length very clearly. Bravo!!! I’ve only taken off one star from my misfortune but now you will be able to accurately size your cables 1 star simply because this is totally unusable! 1 ft long is from tip to tip of cable. The actual length by the time you get out of the strain reliefs is about 4 inches, which means you can make a U shaped bend that can connect devices about 3 from port to port. My original goal was to use this to connect my QNAP NAS to a network switch sitting on top of it, which is about 6 from port to port, however this cable cannot accomplish this simple task! The 2 1/2 inches that the SFP card goes into the device on each SHOULD NOT count as cable length!!!!

I like these cables because they are more durable than fiber cables and I have switched over to these DAC cables going from my two servers to the 10gb switches and all have worked flawlessly and these DAC cables come with the SFP+ modules included
