> 3 dayGone are the cobbled, electrical tape wrapped 5mm barrel ends. This repaired my changing-light glowing Christmas tree cord perfectly. I only wish they made shrink tubing that would wrap around the connection area.

> 3 dayThese are great because theyre easy to wire, easy to secure using heat shrink tubing, and are a standard size used by lots of electronics. Ive used them to connect all my networking equipment (modem, router, access point, mini server) to a 12 V solar battery bank. In total they draw about 2 Amps, which is enough to heat up the connection point to the battery bank. At one point I accidentally sent about 8 Amps through one of these, and that heated it up to the point of starting to melt after a couple minutes, but that was my own fault.

18-11-2024These work great and its very easy to extend low voltage wiring requiring barrel connectors this way. Be sure to really tighten down the two screws on your wires, and pay attention to the positive and negative terminals!

> 3 dayNeeded these for a CCTV camera installation. These were much easier to use instead on having to crimp wires. Will purchase more when I need them again.

Greater than one weekThe connector ends, the round parts are well made and solid. My issue is the wire terminations, which have no method of securing the wire insulation. As a result, small guage (20-22ga) stranded wire will flex and break easily when handled. Larger gauge wire (16-18) is more durable but far from perfect. That, for me, is a pretty big issue.

> 3 day1 pair out of 24 (4% failure rate) was faulty and did not carry current. I had to test all of them to be sure before installing in circuit.
