Bought to go with a harbor freight sander. When tried to use water with the finer grit they came apart. Ok for dry not so much for wet.

The pads hold up very well! I was impressed by that. I used all the grits and same durability throughout. I used them exclusively to speed up the process of polishing up some Fat Fives wheels for my Honda. The issue I had that slowed everything down came down to inconsistent pad grit. I would step up to the next grit and would score the wheel with deeper scratches than the previous grit! These may work for you in your application but I had better results doing by hand with 3M paper. Im not satisfied and returning the product. I would have preferred less durability and more consistent grain across the pads. Also, in case you are wondering, the pads were in separate bags so if there was any risk of cross contamination, it didnt come from my error. I even checked them before use and ran some water through them to help dislodged any foreign grit that didnt belong. I am disappointed because this product is so close to being amazing if the manufacturer could address those issues. These pads were as or more durable than the 3M sandpaper I have used.

Be aware these pads are very small. Yes they work but they wear out FAST Worst of all the rod for Dremel attachment broke! This is due to the poor quality of the metal and the facts that the whole thing is unbalanced. 80% of the time the pads will fly off as the Velcro can barley hold on. I would say they worked good while the rod lasted. Atleast if got my job done. Now I’m stuck with thumb-sized 10k grit sanding pads… Don’t big

I took off one star on durability, as I dont know how long these disks will last. I use them to sane polymer clay, so time will tell. Each grade of sandpaper comes in a separate baggy which is labeled, but it would be useful if each disk could have a label printed on it.

    Greater than one week

To be clear, I am using mine on stone. They work great. I did notice a few small things... All are labeled grit # on back except for 400, just make sure to mark. Also the 400 seems to be cut a bit smaller, not noticeable until you start to use it, it comes right along edge of piece it sticks to, so the velcro on the other piece will scratch the heck out of your project! Also all velcro sanding pads will shift as it turns and is used, exposing opposite velcro, therefore scratching project. Last thing, mind the slight dip in the very middle of all velcro pads, they can create uneven surface on your project. ALL THAT BEING SAID, keep those things in mind when using, but they are overall a great product. They work well. Please excuse all the commas!

Like the pads and easy to use but didnt receive all the items. I didnt notice it until I tried to use it and notice several pads were missing . The ones I have works great.

I was only able to use it for about an hour before the Velcro on the yellow receiver wore off and the sandpaper would no longer adhere. I’ve never seen this mode of failure before. Quite disappointing.

I originally bought this for headlight restoration thinking I’m about to get all the grits I need for a cheap price. The smaller grit sizes sand fine but clog after about a minute. After this I decided to wet sand so it wouldn’t clog as easy but this made the sandpaper dull after about a minute. Once I was ready to get the headlight ready for polishing at the higher grits such as 2000 then 3000 the sandpaper would leave swirl marks I just could not get rid of. Switching to a fresh pad helped but only for a short few seconds. I thought this was because the dust would clog it up. So I cleaned the headlight and started with a fresh pad. Still could not get rid of the deep swirl marks. One week later I ended up getting high quality 3m pads as well as the 3m Trizact finishing pads and immediately was impressed how much material they removed. I went back with the “5000” grit sand paper and it left swirl marks even though I used “3000” grit 3m trizact disk before. Last time I checked that’s not how sand paper should work. Over all I am giving this sand paper 3 stars and not 1 because for something that is not transparent like wood or metal, I could see this as a good budget sand paper.

These sandpaper discs are perfect for headlight restoration. Way easier than sanding by hand. You only really need 800, 1200, 2000, and 3000 grit to get the job done. Headlights came out like new after buffing and Meguiars UV protectant afterwards.
