My mom absolutely loves this strainer. I gave it to her as a Christmas present since she likes useful things and my family keeps commenting on it. She loves not having to touch the food bits and the sink drains so much faster now and never backs up. The only drawback is since it sits on top of the drain itself (not down in) a few food bits wont flow into the basket but get caught at the rim. Its not a problem for us.

I purchased a different one prior to this one but returned it. This one is flat so it sits perfectly in the sink. It has a handle making it easy to remove and empty.

Its very sturdy, not the net-like thin mesh ones that makes food stick to it. This one is the best of all I have ever used.

I own a few similar sink drain strainers but was not happy with them. I thought because the basket is larger on this one it would hold more. debris. It did, but then water would go down the drain very slowly even if there was not a lot of debris in the basket. The finest of particles clog up the tiny hole openings. The hole openings should be larger. I had to make larger holes at different spots with a hammer and nail. Now the water goes down the drain faster and still catches the particles.

My kitchen sink has 2 drains, so its great this comes in a 2pk. Handle makes it easy to pull out to clean. Lightweight, yet sturdy.
