No sharp points. No rusting. Catches the crumbs. Seems like a quality item. I just wish the basket was a little bit deeper.

These turned out to be a bit longer than the drain, but I was able to crush to bottom slightly to make it fit. This didnt impede the flow of drain water. The screen is fine enough to catch just about anything I dont want down the drain. Turn it upside down and flow water over the screen into the disposal and its easy to clean. I had a rubber one previously,, but after a while it got very slimy (despite frequent washings) and the drain holes began to clog. This metal screen seems much more rugged.

If you have garbage disposal in your kitchen sink, you need a strainer like this. In fact, you need two. It keeps things from falling into the disposal that shouldnt go into it, and thus keeps the user from having to reach into the disposal to get those things out. These strainers are stainless steel, so they do well in the dishwasher. Thats good, because, if cheese gets into the mesh, its hard to get it out without putting it into the dishwasher. Having two means that you never have to leave that gaping hole open in your sink.

Would have loved it to be a little thicker. It is hard to pull up. I didn’t want to go with the one with a handle. Still, very good.
