> 3 dayBought it to break Glass. Would not use it as a punch for drilling as it does not have enough power for that. Tested it on mild steel and could barley see any mark at all. Aluminum it might work as I can see a mark that may be big enough for drilling, but it would have to be a tiny bit to get it started. Anyway. Bought it to escape an automobile as I will be driving a Tesla Model 3 and I will need to get out if my lipos start to arc for what ever reason. 6500 degrees if that starts.. I am getting out!!

21-11-2024I have a 35 yo starett brand. Sharp hardened point. These are dull. Will turn them on my grinder to a point for steel. Will dent aluminum and wood. Take apart and grease with silicone if having problems. Price point tells it all

Greater than one weekThe price was great for two automatic center punches, but should have know that you get what you pay for. They came unassembled and assembly was easy enough. But the first time I used it it didn’t even leave a scratch on the 18 gauge sheet metal I was marking and the punch seized in the shaft and had to be disassembled to get it free.
