TouchPad would take quite a few times to register that my finger was on it. Would have to lift my finger and try to touch it again for it to register. Happened consistently. Also did this weird thing with the screen brightness where if you go to a dark page and then a white page the brightness would take awhile to adapt. Ended up returning it cause tech support hung up on me and there were no alternatives

the right hand hinge exploded one day when i opened the laptop. Sending back for repair

I use my laptop for browsing, shopping and bill paying. This has plenty of speed for what I do. Easy to set up. Im not a techie by any stretch of the imagination. This is perfect.

Computer stopped working about a month before the warranty expired. It would not turn out at all. Sent it in for warranty repair and they claimed it was water damage. I dont take the laptop anywhere. I put it in a safe place when not in use. Went on Reddit and saw threads discussing this issue. This is my 3 and last laptop Ill buy from Acer!

Just like several other reviewers I found, the plastic that holds the screen in place has separated. It is not glued; it snaps together like Legos, except Legos do not come apart like this. I tried snapping it back together several times, but it will not stay. Computer is otherwise OK. I suppose I will see if I can glue it back together. I always thought Acer was pretty good quality, but not so!

I was so hesitant on purchasing this laptop because I never had any Acer equipment. I am beginning a work from home and needed a laptop with an Ethernet port. I’d seen many laptops without an Ethernet port and a need to purchase an additional connector. I did not want to do this. Eventually, I came across the Acer Aspire 3 that had all I needed! It’s was delivered extremely fast; much sooner than expected. The set up was fast and easy. It looks and works great!!! No complaints as of yet.
