I returned it! Very slow and cheap plastic

I was so hesitant on purchasing this laptop because I never had any Acer equipment. I am beginning a work from home and needed a laptop with an Ethernet port. I’d seen many laptops without an Ethernet port and a need to purchase an additional connector. I did not want to do this. Eventually, I came across the Acer Aspire 3 that had all I needed! It’s was delivered extremely fast; much sooner than expected. The set up was fast and easy. It looks and works great!!! No complaints as of yet.

Just like several other reviewers I found, the plastic that holds the screen in place has separated. It is not glued; it snaps together like Legos, except Legos do not come apart like this. I tried snapping it back together several times, but it will not stay. Computer is otherwise OK. I suppose I will see if I can glue it back together. I always thought Acer was pretty good quality, but not so!

I went to someone I always trust for tech recommendation: Americas Digital Goddess, Kim Komando, lol. Seriously, I went to her website (such GREAT recommendations and alerts!). To be honest, I did NOT have a lot to spend. ***I do not do gaming*** but needed fast processing. Didnt need a ton of space because Im putting everything on the cloud. Yep, lovin the Acer.

Started out as an excellent value. Never dropped or mishandled. After 17 months the left lid hinge broke and within a week the right hinge broke. Searched online and it is a common defect.

After 1.5 years, I just bought its replacement.

Everything about the laptop was fine except the screen would flicker whenever I would move the mouse. To fix the issue I have to reboot the laptop. These issues persisted after I updated drivers and even reinstalled windows. Seller would not allow me to get a refund.
