Ive never used these for carrying groceries--but we do use them for clipping our snorkel/spear fishing gear to our swim-buoy when we do open water swimming and its a game changer.

Bought these so I could hook bags and things onto my stroller. Ended up using them to attach bags together at the airport and for every day attachments (like attaching my purse to my backpack) more than anything. They are great.

They are much larger than expected, which is awesome and yet I still wish the opened were a big larger. It took some manuerving to get it onto my stroller wagon handle. It held my bags in place which is awesome. They did a much better job than my Velcro strap hooks. I purchased these because one of my plastic hooks broke on my last shopping trip and Im so happy I upgraded. I havent tried them in hand because I usually have a wagon or stroller to hold my bags. I took and impromptu trip to the store while out running errands without the baby and I wished that I had thought to bring at least one of the hooks with me because it was quite a walk and milk, creamer, a couple of canned items and more so my hands were full and hurting.

Use these to hook dog leashes together so I can walk two large dogs at once. The cushion is perfect for holding. Very happy with my purchase.

I used this product for just a few weeks and it has already failed on me. I did not use this for any heavy lifting whatsoever. I use it to attach my thermos to the pocket of my messenger bag. At no point does it have heavy pressure on it. Yet still, today, I find the hinge completely broken.
