Whether youd like to power up your RV at home, a friends house (Moochdocking), a generator, or an older campground with limited power, this is the adapter you need. While you cant power everything on a 30A camper at the same time, you will be able to run 1 air conditioner, or other appliances. Our newer Class C motorhome has a power management panel. I can set it for 15 Amps, and it will prevent overloading when using this adapter. If your camper doesnt have this, just be mindful of your current usage.

We use this plug for our campervan. Prior to ordering, we did inspect our van to ensure we requested the correct plug.

As another reviewer stated, this is limited by the straight 5-20 plug. Most of these pigtails have both plug and receptacle at a 90° angle. While the TT30R is exactly that, the 5-20P is straight, which creates a stress point if that part is plugged into a wall outlet. Frankly, for those situations, a pigtail with a 90° angle 5-20P should be use. With that said, there is a situation where this straight 5-20P would be preferred, and thats with a (heavy duty) extension cord.

In case my 50A cord fails I can at least use this one anywhere there is 15A available as a backup. I also have a 50A to 30A adapter and a really long 30A extension cord. So when 50A is not needed, you dont need your hefty 50A cord at all. This one came with a bag that is large enough to hold all my dogbone cables, although a closure method would make it better.

The cable is well made and remains flexible in the cold. The tote bag and strap are handy for organizing all of your adapters and the microfiber is high quality. When all of the choices are around the same price the extras included with this one actually make it an easy choice.

This is a way easier way to hook up to a 15-20amp 110v outlet. No more 50 amp to 30 amp then a 30 amp to 20 amp adapter just to hook up at the house.

This looks like a good quality cable/adaptor. Not much to it or not much to say other than it works and does what its supposed to do. The included pouch is nice to keep it contained and stored and its all molded in a single cable so shouldnt have any problems over time pugging and unplugging.

Having a series of different plug in adapters is almost a necessity. Long ago I ended up at a camping site where I couldnt plug in. A trudge down to the camp store, I purchased an overpriced OK quality adaptor. It is best to be in the place of having what it takes to plug into whatever the campsite has. Or in this case, I can plug my trailer in at home. True, this will not be the full 30 amps, but at home Im not pulling that much power. It will allow me to check everything before I leave the driveway though. That is good and inexpensive piece of mind.
