> 3 dayI ended up buying shapton stones because the money I would need to put into buying more of these did not make sense. I would be happier if I received all the correct grits as advertised.

> 3 dayFor sharpening my knives, I use a wet stone and a leather strop. I was content with the results but I knew I could get them sharper. Watched a video and thats what got me interested in these. Using these to get that final polish on my knives has made a huge difference.

> 3 dayI ordered these thinking they were adhesive backed and was disappointed when they weren’t but after giving them a try they do an excellent job at sharpening and putting a nice near mirror finish on any metal. And with a bit of stropping with polishing compound I was able to easily shave the hair off my arm

> 3 daySheets work very well. Problem is durability and quantity. Most will never need all 9 films, youre better off buying sheets of 9x11 in grit needed. You can also get Diamond film from KME which lasts way longer. KME gives you five 4x1 slabs which last about 5+ times longer. These are nice due to size but dont help me. When using KME these sheets will get you through 1 maybe 2 knives that need moderate work. The KME ones will get you through 7 or more as they are diamond. ALWAYS remember to hone away from edge if you push towards edge you will cut film and ruin it. If using KME system you will need a glass blank for film(or alum/glass blank) for backing. The film removes better from glass

> 3 dayI bought these sheets after watching a YouTube video of someone cutting them to size and sticking them to the ceramic hone on a Worksharp Precision adjust knife sharpener. I cut them into sight oversized strips and they adhere perfectly to the ceramic. Knives come out shaving sharp with a mirror finish. You can get multiple uses out of the strips if you stick them to a piece of wax paper to prevent the adhesive from drying out. I can sharpen about 4 pocket knives 3-4” blades using the strips before it’s time to change strips. I got about 14 strips out of each sheet of lapping film. If you do bigger knives they obviously will wear out more quickly. Pull the paper with the cutting edge towards the apex, don’t push the paper into the cutting edge or you will slice it. I also buff side to side and it doesn’t cut the paper, and finish with 10 strops along the knife blade from hilt to tip on each side and finish with 50 strips each side on the 60,000 grit white film. This stuff is awesome and I will be purchasing more when I need to.
