Easy to install. Bracket is perfect, not flimsy at all. Everything is sturdy after install. Audio is LOUD AND CLEAR. Definite upgrade from the astatic speaker that it replaced.

Inexpensive but a quality speaker. Buy it. Better audio spectrum reproduction than smaller speakers.

I bought this because i was using a cobra that i bought from the truck stop and needed to replace. The President name has been around for years, so i went with it. It is a good speaker for sure but i dont hear much difference from the cobra.

This is a good product of reasonable pricing. The product has been around 35+ years, and its a truckers favorite. There are hundreds of products to compete directly against this speaker, most of which sound like a tin can with distortion. This one has good quality smooth accurate sound tone. Yes you can buy a cheaper speaker, but it will be just that,(tin can distortion and sound like hammered dog poop). Give your ears a break they deserve, dont waste your money on a dog poop trashy speaker. 73 GOD bless K5EWM.

I used this to make a remote operating station with the face plate and microphone from my FT-891 at the end of a long extension made out of two cat5 cables. It works GREAT! Much much much much better than the internal speaker! Will make enough sound to rattle the windows if you turn it all the way up! That said, if you have an FT-891 and you want to use this speaker (or ANY external speaker) with the jack on the front panel, you MUST look at the back of the front panel and slide the little switch to the SP position. These radios ship with that switch in the PH position (PH means phones, as in headphones, and the audio output on that jack will be limited to protect your ears, SP means speakers, and the audio will NOT be limited)... Great well balanced quiet and non-crackly audio! Perfect for any type of voice communications use!!!

the mounting bracket is very flimsy along with the screws that go into the speaker itself ,the audio is just OK nothing special.
