> 3 dayIve had these types of speakers for decades, mainly the Realistic brand from Radio Shack, and they all do quite well when hooked up to cbs, marine radios and ham radios. This one is branded as a President speaker, but theyre all pretty much the same inside. I decided to shorten the really long speaker wire for my application by desoldering the wire from the speaker, cutting it to length and re-soldering it back on. While I was in the case, I also threw some Thermozite (sound proofing for vehicles) inside with the speaker to lessen the hollow sound these normally have. It works quite well and is extremely clear to hear for my really loud jetboat. Hooked to an Icom marine radio that has ~4 watts of output, its loud enough to hear over pretty much everything on the boat!!!

> 3 dayInexpensive but a quality speaker. Buy it. Better audio spectrum reproduction than smaller speakers.

> 3 dayThis is a good product of reasonable pricing. The product has been around 35+ years, and its a truckers favorite. There are hundreds of products to compete directly against this speaker, most of which sound like a tin can with distortion. This one has good quality smooth accurate sound tone. Yes you can buy a cheaper speaker, but it will be just that,(tin can distortion and sound like hammered dog poop). Give your ears a break they deserve, dont waste your money on a dog poop trashy speaker. 73 GOD bless K5EWM.
