I’m a goldsmith but have never ordered these for removing firescale from new heads. I thought, well, they are rubber and how long could they last. I have always used mini bristle brushes for that task. I’m an old dog but glad I ordered these and they are much less expensive than what my jewelry catalog sells them for. So far, I’m really happy.

I did a side by side comparison with the 3m radio disks on silver rings. The 3m products had greatly noticeable differences in performance. Recommend 3m

Use for removing rust from. Tools if you let them do the work use 2 or 3 3 together they work great saved many of old rusted tools I picked up cheap and cleaned up close to new

I bought as a less expensive alternative to 3m and dedeco and liked thus option for the finer white ones but entirely dissapointing. Save your money go with the real things. These plastic pieces of junk arent worth it no matter how much cheaper. They dont do anything helpful on my jewelry whatsoever. Agh.

Great selection of grits plus several mandrels, definitely a lot of bang for your bucks. Last quite a while, so may not have to replace real soon, but will definitely buy these again.

I use these disks to sand metal for jewelry. I have used it on my hammer to take scratches out as well and it worked great on the scratches that werent too deep. The scratches that are deeper, I am going to have to file them, then use the disks to sand them, then I can pre-polish, and last polish it. I would buy them again unless, I find something else that works better for the price. Which I dont think I will.

Mandrels provided are the wrong size and do not fit the bristle discs. Luckily I had a spare smaller mandrel but still had to widen the holes on the actual bristle discs to fit it, thus adding a lot more time to my project (used for knife blade polishing). Besides this, product is a great cheap alternative to others. -If you dont have extras, plan on either separately ordering smaller mandrels or spending extra time adjusting the bristle disc holes. ALSO theyre plastic, just use proper care while installing and using.
