> 3 dayThis review is on the 4URPC docking station. I have had this dock for almost a month. I am a fan of docking stations because they just make sense. They provide the ability to use your notebook as a desktop with a minimum amount of effort. By this I mean that you set your notebook down and connect just one cable and you are in business. In my setting I am using a Dell XPS 15 notebook. This is a high powered notebook- i9 processor, lots of memory and a 130-watt power supply. I have the 130-watt power supply connected to the dock which in turn supplies power to the notebook. I only have to plug a single usb-c cable from the dock to the notebook to become functional. I have the following devices connected to the dock: • two monitors connected via HDMI cables. • a wireless keyboard/mouse connected via usb • a webcam connected via usb • an external hard drive via usb • a wired ethernet connection Everything works fine. There is one issue with the dock which I will address. This dock is designed to support a notebook computer vertically to save space on the desk. If someone’s work required them to frequently take their notebook with them when they left their desk then this dock would be a good solution, because you simply unplug one cable and you’re good to go. However, if you leave your notebook at your desk most all the time then you will come across this issue. If you shut down your computer you cannot turn on the computer unless you remove it from the stand, open it up and then press the power button. At that point you return it to the stand and use it normally. This is somewhat of a hassle. I have used a Dell notebook dock which has the same functionality as the 4URPC, but in addition it has a power button on the dock itself. This means if the computer is connected to the dock, you do not need to open it up and press the power button to begin using your computer. This is my suggestion: Add a power button to the dock to be able to power-on the computer. This may or may not be an issue for others. In addition to the Dell, I have tested this dock with an ASUS Chromebook. It worked fine with the Chromebook. If you are considering this dock, just be aware this is designed for commuters that are powered by usb-C. If your computer does not get power by a usb-C cable, then you should look for another dock.

> 3 dayI got this one to replace my old docking station. I got surprised by how good the quality is for that price. It made my deck setup so much easier and more organized. It’s easy to use and works perfectly. Very recommended.

> 3 dayThis dock performs as expected and is true to the product description. There are areas that could be improved upon: 1. The host connector port is out in the front and so it can be quite unsightly - should be placed in the back with the power cable port for better cable management and aesthetics. 2. The dock does not allow for the prongs to be adjusted and so depending on your laptop, it may not be a perfect fit and have some wiggle room. 3. The product does NOT come with a power brick and so youll need an adequate usb c powered brick. Despite the areas for improvement, the product does everything it describes and fully functions for a WFH setup. It is well-built and will update with longer use.

> 3 dayHave been using MS Surface Dock 2, however, have noticed possible issue with the 2 display port, so, was looking around for an alternative. Browsed through Amazon, and after clarifying with 4URPC to be sure that it is compatible with Surface Pro, and added to my wishlist. 4URPC later informed me of this new product of theirs. Some of my thoughts: 1. The packaging is simple enough. 2. Fuss-free connecting up the cables. 3. Can work together with the existing Surface Dock 2, so, i ended up having extra 3 USB ports besides the 4 on the Surface Dock 2. 5. Instead of placing the Surface Pro between the handles, i was able to place 2 portable HDDs. 6. The SD card on the Surface at times will get dismounted, now i can use the SD card slot on this device, easily accessible, in my setup. Works great with Surface Pro. [1-May-2023 updates] The support team has been pretty prompt. Unfortunately the set that Ive received seems to have a bit of faulty USB 3 as they get disconnected while copying many files in one go. Just have to be mindful not to do so. Missing in the manual is the use of external power source so that the device would run more smoothly.

> 3 dayThe concept is great. I have a hybrid laptop so I can stand it up in open position or fold over edges if I still want to use the laptop screen. I did not realize a power supply did not come with it but I had one for it. The ports are just enough to supply everything I need. Great product.

> 3 dayWas offered the opportunity to purchase this and was having some issues with a competitor’s docking station at same time time. So, thought I’d try it. Have two monitor and speakers connected. Very easy to setup and have had no issues so far. Very responsive when unlock the laptop and the design saves a bit of space. Based on experience so far would recommend.

> 3 dayThis is a well built dock. The stand is all metal, has excellent padding to protect the finish of your laptop, and the extra ports will help you reign in some of you cables. The stand and extra ports allow you to recoup some space on your desk. So, if you need to clean up some desk space, or just looking for a nice stand to put your laptop in, then this dock is for you!
