Very handy tool for pushing elastic or tape through an opening and useful for pointing corners in hand sewn articles.

The thang tool helps in all sewing situations. It reaches in to keep applique pieces still. It pulls threads forward and backward. It easily pulls elastic through casings. I bought this set of 5 for what I used to pay for one so I have a thang at the sewing machine, embroidery machine, and serger.

I bought the multi pack so I could share with my daughter. We are both sewing masks. These Thangs enable fabric turning, elastic threading, holding down fabric under sewing machine needles, and many other tasks.

I love the Purple thang.. it has alot of used, and it is really easy to use! very clever device

It’s nice to know I’ve got something handy to use to push fabric through the sewing machine Or thread elastic through some bands & use it to push out corners after sewing! It’s such a handy little tool... I’m sure you can use other things but I know this is in my ‘pencil holder’ that holds my sewing tools, don’t have to use scissors or pencil to push corners out to make sharp corners. The “Purple Thang“ just works for so many of your sewing needs...

Just like the Purple Thang but much less $$$... not to mention you get 5. I no longer run around my sewing room to retrieve it from the last place I used it.

I use one of them to hold down fabric and vinyl under my sewing needle. Helps to keep needle out of my fingers.
