5 Inch 8 Hole Hook and Loop Replacement Sander Pad for Craftsman 315112170, 315116940, 315116950, 315112180, 315279870 Random Orbit Sanders

The item I got hardly hooks the loops at all. I can press the disc on and peel it back off with barely any of that typical velcro sound. My old, warn pad Im replacing hooks better. Considering reviews, I think that not everyone is getting the same product. Mine came from Tockrop direct. Im starting the return process after this review.

This is a poor substitute for a Craftsman part. It broke the third time I used it with light use only. The plastic ring where the screws anchor it to the sander all sheared. I would not recommend this product.

Great replacement for brand name sanding discs. Easy to apply and remove. Will buy again.

Great fit for the Craftsman. Super heavy duty velcro. Destroys the backing of the sandpaper discs and sends them flying off the orbital sander with the fabric backing remaining on the velcro. The discs can no longer be used on the orbital. I went through a dozen discs and ended up buying a different orbital sander. I never had this issue with any sanding discs before. The heavy duty velcro removes the fabric backing when peeling off as well. Super disappointed in this product.

this was easy to install. Just remove 4 screws to take off the old pad and use them to add this more substantial one. The hook and loop works perfectly with the disks I bought. There is one caveat for using this with my B&D BDERO 100. The original pad is glued to a backing plate that fits into a collar. This product does not have the proper profile to slide into the collar. So you have to pry the backing plate off the old pad and use it as a shim when installing this one. Took about 5 min with a chisel to get it off.

Great replacement at the right price but wroong choice for me. Make sure your model is mentioned as I measured screw holes an it fits perfect, but the diameter of the center, of the part that goes between the pad and the base is bigger and it wont fit my model. I have a model 320-39592. I will have to figure out a way of finding tha specific part or purchase the right one this time as I focused on screw holes measurements. Screw holes fit perfect, its just that part that is bigger than the hole on the back of the pad.

As a replacement backing for my Craftsman 5 orbital sander, this was priced well and fit perfectly. The four original screws fit well to mount it. I did notice that after using it for about 20 minutes off and on, I lifted it off of the piece of wood that I was sanding and the sand paper shot off onto the work bench. No others did this, and I cant say it wasnt the sand-paper manufacturers fault. So far, this replacement backing works great!
