This is actual copper wire. I weighed it and it weighs as the tables say for 1/0 wire I was able to crimp and solder lugs on easily. Wire is very flexible with lots of strands.

Compared to the 2/0 cable we were previously using from Home Depot, this heavier-gauge 4/0 wire handles like butter. Its significantly easier to maneuver and easier to strip than what I was working with before. The cable did fray a bit easily if our cutters didnt cut it just right, but this was usually fixable. Very happy with the cable overall!

Awesome quality wire. Used to replace my positive wire from positive post to alternator to starter. Very easy to work with.

The quality is great, if this was 2 gauge. Fits perfectly in all of my 4 gauge lugs and connectors. Theres too much space inside my 2 gauge lugs and connectors. The cables measure closer to 4 gauge than 2 gauge. I needed a 4 gauge wire, which is why I bought the 2 gauge, so it works only because I knew what I was buying. Otherwise, for safety purposes and standards I would have needed to buy two of the 2 gauge wires and soldered then together to meet the actual thickness needed.
