Greater than one weekI bought this set after buying a different set for a slightly lower price. I returned the previous product because the large dies were very difficult to work with--I had to pound for such a long time to get a cut, it was ridiculous. It seemed like 1 quarter or side of the large cut was always more difficult and I was lucky to get a clean cut. I even had my other half try and he didnt have much more like than I did. SO, I returned that set and bought this one. This one is definitely a studier set and very nice construction. But, Im having the same issue with the larger dies--this set is much better, but similar issues. Im guessing the larger dies dont receive full force since they are large than the actual pounding device. Not really sure. Im happy with the set and I like it and am keeping it, but I find it hard to give 5 stars for something that doesnt work perfectly. With that said, Id still recommend this product, so I dont want that to deter your decision to purchase if large dies arent your concern.

EASY TO USEUnscrew the bolt head on the top that you hammer on to cut, slide off the rubber grip, and remove the Allen socket screw to allow the spring-loaded center pin to slide out. |
SPRING-LOADEDThe pin point is spring-loaded and retracts into the handle when punching to create a hole. It is also removable from the shaft so that disks can be cut with no middle hole. |
FOR ANY MATERIALThe inside of the cutter is straight while the outside is tapered. Accepted thickness depends on the material – Foam can be cut about 3/8-inch thick while stiff, metal, or plastic materials can be cut about 1/16-inch thick. |
