Screen has good colors. For right now, it was bought as a back up. But having the 16G ram at the sale price was a no brainer. The color and texture reminds me a school lunch tray, its unusual and odd, which is up my alley

I bought the ACER based on reviews. However, the screen began flickering off within a few weeks of delivery and after another week or so went completely black and nothing I did would bring it back. I contacted Amazon and they said they contacted ACER who would get back to me within 2 business days. Did not happen. I then initiated a return which has been a nightmare. Amazon has been extremely difficult to deal with - the info on returns does not update. Even though I have a UPS receipt and notification from UPS that the item was delivered days ago, my amazon orders and return shows nothing. I will never buy an expensive item from Amazon again. An update - I did receive a full refund from Amazon which makes the experience less painful.

I got this for my son for Christmas, he loves it. Says it has everything he was wanting for his gaming computer with enough space to play games and do his regular schoolwork.

Let me start my review with stating that I got this computer for basic use (browsing the internet, replying to emails, playing very basic games for my kids). This is meant to be a family computer in addition to the gaming PC I already own. For the purposes that I purchased this computer for, it works wonderfully. I havent experienced any issues thus far and the set up was very easy.

Amazon needs to improve their quality control on the laptop products. We bought this laptop as a backup therefore only found out it’s defective until recently when we actually started using it - we are a loyal Amazon customer for years so had trust in their quality control especially on the big items like electronics and laptop. The issue is due to Amazon quality control at the very beginning however as a loyal customer we are left with a defective laptop and no return/refund & have to deal with the issue ourselves - this is not what we expect from Amazon customer service which does not differentiate case by case. Very disappointed, would think twice for future purchase and consider other merchants.

Awesome laptop for the monies, I updated to the ram to 24g and also installed 1tb ssd. Loving it thus far, I truly cant complain. Having a darn time getting the new 1tb ssd to be recognized when updating from 512gb to 1tb laptop not seeing the drive. But I think is and issue with me, hope I didnt receive a bad drive. Battery life well, thats the only drawback for me. Streaming eats it alive, only getting about 2 1/2 to 3hrs of usage. Overall the laptop itself is great for the value, thank you.
