I got this for my 12 year old daughter so shes not constantly using her school issued Chromebook. This Windows system offers more options but its still super easy for her to use. I was very impressed with the speed of this laptop. An i7 processor is awesome and should really be the standard at this point. After a few initial windows updates it was ready for use. Wifi setup was a breeze, and I didnt run into any issues otherwise. We tested various sites as well as Netflix/Amazon Video. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the visuals. My daughter just wanted to see how well Minecraft worked and I am happy to report its pretty flawless. For this price range, this is a great starter/ mid laptop for simple, everyday uses. And the design was also a plus for my daughter, she really loves the flecks all over, and it stands out from other laptops. Overall Im really impressed and well see how long it will last without issues, or before it slows down, as electronics inevitably do. Battery life is fair, comparable to most other laptops. Like I said, for a middle school kid, its a great choice!

I am pleased with the feel of the recycled plastic. It feels solid and is very capable. I have just finished setting up mine and I also purchased one for my wife. Really nice price for what you get and other than messing with Windows 11 for the first time everything went well on set up. Nice screen sound is suitable and I will be happy with it. The fact that you can easily upgrade should be mandatory for all laptops and this one is really easy to upgrade. What an innovative thing to do. Make something that people want. :-) I love it!

Let me start my review with stating that I got this computer for basic use (browsing the internet, replying to emails, playing very basic games for my kids). This is meant to be a family computer in addition to the gaming PC I already own. For the purposes that I purchased this computer for, it works wonderfully. I havent experienced any issues thus far and the set up was very easy.

I gave this laptop 4 stars because there are indeed a few things that I find lacking. But overall, its an excellent buy for the money. It was the best deal that I found at the time that had the major components I was looking for, which are, the most current i7 processor, adequate RAM, and solid state hard drive. The slight drawbacks are, the battery life. It doesnt last nearly as long as I would like it to when unplugged. Secondly the screen resolution, while not bad, is not as good as the portable monitors that I own that are of the same resolution and type. Lastly, one of the major exhaust vents is located just below the monitor on top of the keyboard. When its on, you, and everyone around you can hear it. Quite honestly, its annoying, but its not a deal breaker for me. Overall, this laptop is definitely a good buy for the money. I dont really care about all the environmentally friendly stuff. I honestly think thats more gimmick than it is anything else.

I purchased this laptop. In the last year it has had to be send in for repairs twice. I cannot suggest enough what a poorly build machine this is. Calling in for support resulted in several hours of support calls with Acer, where I was told there is nothing that they can do. The support people i spoke with were more concerned with getting off of the call than listening to the issue. This is the LAST time i will ever purchase an Acer product.

I utilize this laptop for productivity running Microsoft Office and Blue Beam, I dont really use the laptop monitor because I have external monitors using a docking station. Im still experimenting with deferent docking stations utilizing 2 32 and 1 27 monitors, 2 @ 2K and 1 @ 1080p. I dont use this for gaming, I do use the 27 monitor primarily for watching the news while I work. I use to have a Surfacebook, was loyal to Microsoft devices for years, this is my first Acer using on a daily basis, I like the performance I get out of this laptop compared to my Surface Book 3. The Surface Book it is a touch screen but since Im using external monitor I really dont need the touch screen.
