I got this for my son for Christmas, he loves it. Says it has everything he was wanting for his gaming computer with enough space to play games and do his regular schoolwork.

Acer should not use the MediaTek Wifi card, its driver has issue very often.

$500 for an I7 and .5TB ssd is a good deal. The only thing that really sucks is the back-lit keyboard. You can barely see the letters because of the light pouring out of the sides of the keys. Its really bright, yet hard to read the keys. Other than that, glad I got it.

Wanted to replace a Linux desktop with a laptop and decided to give this laptop a try. After fixing the boot menu in bios I was able to load my favorite version of Linux and ditch the dreadful Win11 OS. Ive been really happy with the performance but need to be careful with the battery. It burns through the battery pretty quick - even with power management tweaks. Itd be nice to find a fingerprint driver under Linux but thats not something that I really need. Hope that it holds up to my use and really like the idea of using some recycled material. Its a little large for my use but very usable with full keyboard and large screen. Looks like it would be easy to upgrade, so right now Im really pleased with my decision to purchase.

I love this computer dont get me wrong. Nothing has gone wrong with it except it started to be hard to open the labtop up. Slowing getting more and more tough to open the screen up. To the point I would hold it at the bottom of the screen when I could fit my finger in it. Then one day it broke open. I bought it on Amazon warehouse. Still under warranty because its not even a year old. BUT Amazon wouldnt refund my money, first the were going to thena week later they refused. Now I have to send it to Acer. I have to pay for the shipping and Then if they think its my fault well then I have to pay for the repair. I got this computer in July not even two months old this happened and the original purchase was injan. There are others that the same thing happened to. Just make sure you have a warranty and when it starts getting hard to open up take it in right away. Other than that I love the computer. The audio isnt too loud.abd I never tried out the wifi. Didnt even know it and with that. Just hope they dont screw me.

My 2019 laptops motherboard failed and this laptop had the same sized SSD, same amount of RAM, and a better WiFi adapter and better CPU than my 2019 laptop for $200 less than I paid back in 2019. But why oh why did Acer have to make the recycled plastic case such a rough texture? Are you telling me you cant make recycled plastic smooth? Its rough on my wrists and I just started using the laptop this evening. The texture is a great idea on the bottom of the case because it prevents the laptop from slipping easily off your lap, but not great for the touchpad sides surface area. The case front side is beveled in front of the touchpad, but not to the left or right of the touch pad, a poor design choice! Also dont care for the bottom facing speakers on this laptop (too quiet at 100% volume), guess Acer assumed youd be using earbuds most of the time. Its a middle of the road laptop for the price I paid, thus 3 stars.

Love it so far. Texture and feel are very cool. Not really a high end gaming PC but it will play some stuff. Solid laptop.
