DO NOT BUY!! This is a defective model. It is very unstable with its GPU it goes offline and produces blue screen errors. There is a similar review here. We tried everything even replaced the mother board through warranty but it has the same problem so it means it’s a design engineering defect…

I got it because I wanted a laptop that I can use as my main workstation(development) for at least a few years, that can handle gaming decently, and with a touch screen that would make it more usable on the go and test out touch features.

Im not the biggest fun of the pen but I love the computer and its applications. Its compact and versatile.

I can’t tell you enough DO NOT BUY THIS VERY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT. The screen does not have palm recognition as Acer claims, nor the 4000 points of pressure (not even 2000), it DOES NOT WORK with other Wacom pens, it has a loud fan and adobe illustrator is impossible to use efficiently with this as a result of the pencil barely working with a hand resting on screen and even then it doesn’t work well. The pen also jitters or is not reactive so you can’t always chose a tool or even close a window. In pad mode it often does not recognize a finger trying to close or open a window so you get stuck in whatever screen you are in and it just won’t work. THEIR TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE! I mean YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS LAPTOP AND NO ONE THERE KNOWS A DAMN THING. For instance, I was speaking to tech about the Wacom pen not working and they asked “What’s Wacom”. I asked for the DEDICATED CONCEPTD 7 tech they CLAIM THEY HAVE AND THAT IS WHO I GOT. Someone who was ASKING ME TO EXOLAIN TO THEM WHAT WACOM TECHNOLOGY IS. Their level 2 staff, Donald from Temple Texas not only kept misgendering me but refused to help me with tech issues with my computer ,when I asked him to not call me sir. He told me he’d have to research why Wacom pens do not work on a Wacom screen which is what the last guy said before going to an Acer user forum and seeing what their customers say because they don’t squat. When asked to be put on the line with a tech support person who knows the product he refused. When asked to speak to his supervisor he refused. When asked to speak to someone to make a complaint against him, he put me on hold and never picked back up and after 30 minutes on hold I got disconnected. So if you buy this junk, you were warned. I’m getting my money back or I’m getting a lawyer. I hope this helps folks avoid making a mistake that could cost you a huge chunk of your savings, especially if you are a design professional. Stay away from this. None of their claims are even REMOTELY TRUE AND SHAME ON ANY REVIEWER LIKE LINUS TECH TIPS AND SARA DIETSCHY for spreading false claims on this product. Whatever they said was untrue and I hope this review also puts their integrity and their reputation in question by any followers they have. Honestly, I’m blaming myself for believing the hype. I should know better by now that tech specs and reviewers are usually full of it. I figured it would still be a solid and reliable beast but this thing IS NOT EVEN AS TOUCH RELIABLE AS AN IPAD OR EVEN YOUR SMART PHONE AND THEIR IS NO TECH ASSISTANCE YOU WILL GET FOR THIS FROM ACER. As a newer graphic designer who was stuck doing everything on my phone I knew I needed a new computer. Did I need this exact one meant for creatives? Probably not, but for days I looked for a cheaper option and couldnt get my mind off of this laptop. Im so glad I took the chance! This is an amazing laptop. Typing on it is a dream with the perfect size keyboard and spring action. The touch screen is responsive. And the screen makes things SO much easier!! And to top it off its beautiful!

Honestly ConceptD 3 is one amazing laptop that works great for many things that is hard to believe all you can do with all the features it has. I taking the max of this laptop for work and entertainment. I work in a health company and every week we have virtual reunion and with the AES pen and the screen turning it to the back I can show the graphics and target goal of the months. So amazing having a laptop with gorilla glass love it. For gaming I been using it with x b ox game pass and is great, no problem playing games and no Lag and does not consume the battery fast like other laptop I used. Its a bit thick but with all the speck that this laptop has it needs to be like this to avoid overheating and bad functions. If your a person that is looking for a laptop for not only working and like to play or see movie I highly recommend this laptop, You will not regret.

Owned the device for 7 days now. Only used it once. On the 3rd day, I finally got a chance to use it. After about 2.5hours of working with the device, I got a blue screen with error: PAGE FAULT_IN NONPAGED AREA. I dont have any design programs on it yet. Only Office 365. When I picked up the device, it was extremely hot. I had the device sitting on my end table (completely flat surface). Ive had laptops before that did not run hot from sitting on a table, even after several hours of working. I dont understand this. After turning it off and letting it sit for about 30 minutes or so and turning it back on, it seemed to be fine. I havent even gotten the chance to work in Adobe yet. This is horrible. Im gonna do a little research before returning it, but Im sure I probably will.

The display on this laptop is amazing! The colors are vibrant and the lines are definitive.

Many people comment on how jittery the AES screen is. When product first arrived, it was indeed very hard to get a straight line, and pen pressure was a little funky. However, Acer has since released a BIOS update available on their site which significantly improves things. Laptop performance and design was always great, but since the touchscreen update its an excellent choice.
