Best Monitors work like a charm

I would be totally happy with this if it didnt fail to wake up sometimes (maybe 1/10 times), AND the buttons on the side are unresponsive in sleep mode, so you have to resort to pulling the plug. I have gone through several web searches, ACERs own forums, and found things that seemed to work, only to have the problem come back. The lack of repeatability means you are never sure of success, and you cannot be sure that all the things you read actually fixed anything.

After a year this monitor has stopped displaying. We have tried multiple devices and multiple cables.

Nice upgrade from my lower res dual monitors. The problem although minor is the on/off switch and other buttons are on the back! With dual monitors I have to reach over one monitor. I don’t understand this.

Colors look great out of the box. Feels solidly built.

I had the monitor for 6 months then it just decided it no longer wanted to display the picture correctly anymore. It had faded and the screen had vertical stripes on both sides. Go on site to order replace asks to enter Serial Number and SNID but then doesnt give you enough space to enter both and then says please fill in the field for Serial Number and SNID.

Not happy with this monitor. When I opened it and lifted it out of the box I could hear something inside the monitor rattling around. I set it up and noticed the “on/off” light is missing and must be the thing rattling inside the monitor. I was hopeful that it would still work but as is my luck, no it does it work. And to add insult to injury since it is more than 30 days from the day I purchased it there is nothing I can do. Thank you covid for delaying my ability to open this and test it to see if it works. Seems like this is just the cherry on the top of my covid centric crappy year. $250 flushed down the toilet.

good bang for the buck but one major flaw. Sometimes when going into powersave it gets into a hung state. None of the buttons work and the only thing that can be done is to physically cut off the power, wait, and restore the power.

At $250 this monitor is only worth it if stock for others slightly above the price at $300 is unavailable. It took a good amount of time to setup the colors to not look so washed out in comparison to the preview images. It also has a noticeably long boot up time compared to my second monitor, usually about 10-15 seconds at most.

Monitor wont wake from sleep - tried with multiple PCs. This happens so frequently Im throwing it away and buying another monitor. And this has occurred with three different PCs utilizing both HDMI and DP. Many others have complained about the same problem on the forums. I would not buy this monitor.

In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer"s KA272U gaming monitor - the WQHD resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD Radeon FreeSync technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less and low dimming display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display. (UM.HX2AA.004)
