Acer KG271 bmiix 27 Full HD (1920 x 1080) TN Monitor with AMD FREESYNC Technology (2 x HDMI & VGA Port),Black

I have had this monitor for two months now. I use it strictly for gaming. I play the new call of duty on it and that’s about it. I’ve played red dead redemption 2 on it a little as well. I bought this more for response time than picture quality since it is a TN. The picture is pretty good but you will need to adjust the settings a lot. There are several reviews on here that give in depth picture adjustments so check those out. I will say their brightness recommendations were not ideal for the FPS game I’ve been playing. So I turned my brightness up significantly to be able to see in certain maps. I use a headset so I can’t comment on the speakers. Overall I am very satisfied with the monitor.

Pulling this out of the box and setting the stand up was fairly straight-forward – you will need either a thicker flat head screwdriver or a penny to tighten the included base to the actual monitor – and took about five minutes start to finish. Hooking it up to a MacBook Pro laptop was also easy. The display, colors, fonts, etc., are crisp. It also does a good job of playing back video. If you are looking for a larger-sized color monitor, I would recommend this one.

This monitor was a good deal and for the first 6 months it worked flawlessly, then it would not turn off after it was just turned on, so I unplugged it to turn off then it would not turn back on no matter what I did. So lucky me I purchased the Square Trade insurance, you would think that I got lucky, it was only $5 or so. I then filed a claim on the Square Trade website and was truthful when submitting it, then at the end after submitting the claim, the claim was then closed stating I needed to get with the manufacture because it was under a year. So much for great service. To make a long story short, Acer wanted me to pay to send it in for repair, at my cost, and was not satisfied that I had the original box to ship it in, they said that was not good enough, it had to be wrapped in at least 5 of bubble wrap. So if the original box was good enough to ship it to me when purchased why is it not good enough to send to them? Square Trade stated they would pay for the shipping to Acer but I needed to get an estimate, really! In conclusion, I would not buy this monitor or any high dollar electronics from Amazon and get the insurance. If it was purchased at Best Buy or Walmart I would have been home in a hour or so with a new monitor and never went thru this process. It is not worth all the time I spent on hold and chats (4 Hours) and still have to go get estimate, then chat again, then ship. It is just NOT worth it! Edited since this review gets a lot of hits. We just bought a new replacement monitor locally. And we’ve never bought the useless Square Trade insurance again.

This is a great monitor for the price. Its 1920x1080 with up to a 75hz refresh rate if you overclock it. Unfortunately I have a dead pixel already, less than four months after purchasing. Acers warranty will only replace the monitor if it has more than 4 degraded pixels per one million pixels. Since this is a 1920x1080 monitor, it consists of a total of 2,073,600 pixels. Which means I would need to have a total of 9 pixels degraded before Acer will even look at it. Very disappointing. I guess Ill have to try and fix the pixels myself and hope I dont create anymore degraded pixels in the process.

I like Acer products & just wanted a second monitor for my pc & to double for a console gaming monitor. It works great for everything I need it for. I had to mess with the picture settings to get a little better picture but thats not reall a big deal. The only negative thing I can say about the monitor at this time is that one of the hdmi ports dont work I just used a hdmi switch to bypass it rather than going through the whole returning it & waiting for a new one.

After only a couple months of use, started getting half my screen not showing up, would have to switch inputs in the menu and change it back for it to show properly, otherwise is ok the rest of the time. Quality really lacking in Acer. EDIT: Turned out to be an issue with a graphics driver and not the monitor. Monitor is great...still working as intended!!!

This is the second 144hz monitor I have bought, the first one was an MSI monitor which was filled with countless issues. This monitor is in a whole other ball park it is perfect as far as I can tell it only had an issue with a stuck pixel in the bottom right corner which I was able to fix by simple giving it a small tap. The monitor feels extremely snappy due to the 144hz display and is great for fast paced shooters or even the feel of scrolling through the web with that smooth feeling. I would definitely recommend this display to anyone.

Son loves his gaming monitor totally can see the difference between his old monitor and this one I purchased for him. Quality of images is a lot crisp.

Received in 2 days with my prime membership. This monitor does not disappoint. Clear, crisp screen. HD format great for split screen work or watching a video. Main reason I bought this particular monitor was the 2 HDMI ports. I am able to change them easily, if one computer is asleep it will automatically open the right port. Did not know that it included speakers, who would of thought that for just over $100 you could get such a great monitor. Thinking of getting one for my son for the gaming response time.

Picture is good, about as expected for the price. The biggest issue for me is that the size of the bezel in the pictures on the ad appear to be much smaller than they actually are. I assume the actual bezel sizes are listed somewhere, but the visual representation is usually much more helpful to understand how thick/thin bezels are on monitors. To me, the pictures make the bezels seem much thinner than they are. Other than that I have no complaints about the monitor.
