I normally dont write reviews, but for this item it would be a disservice not to share my experience. I am no Linus from Linus Tech Tips, but I will try to give you the perspective as a competitive gamer.

Luckily got this while it was 50% off and it was definitely worth it. Likely wouldve chosen something else if it had been full price though. A bit of light bleed because of the IPS but unless you are playing or watching something very dark, you wont notice. You definitely need to have it in HDR mode however or else the colours are very bland and washed out

Monitor is barely 5 months old and it is flickering a lot when playing games. Switched inputs to my pc and its also flickering. I moved my ps5 to a different TV and everything is fine.

I use this for Xbox series X to get 4k@120hz with the HDMI 2.1 ports. I was then pleasantly surprised by the other features. I also use this for work and now with DP ALT support, I run my laptop with a SINGLE USB C connection to this monitor. The monitor supports PD (power delivery, so I do not even use the laptops power brick any more) over this USB C and supports DP for video. It cleaned up my desk by removing a bunch of unnecessarily cables. On top of that, it has a built in KVM switch where you can use all 4 USB ports on the monitor and share those accessories with two devices. As an example my keyboard and mouse connect to my monitor but I can use them with my laptop over the USB C port, and use them with my Xbox with an included USB adapter. I do not game with keyboard and mouse but the functionality is still pretty neat.

This was my first 240hz low latency gaming monitor and it didnt fail to impress me, perfect for daily use as itll make you think your computer is running faster than it actually is with how smooth everything turns and suitable for gaming, helped me get the competitive edge in many of my favorite co-op/competitive titles, would recommend to anyone.

Was lucky enough to find one in stock at Micro Center the first day it launched. This monitor delivers on its promises so far. The smoothness and HDR color depth are incredible!

I bought this on Acer website and have been severely disappointed with what Ive gotten. First of the quality of build isnt there. Nice to have all the connectors but plugins are in weird places, and the frame is made out of cheap plastic that looks like they were cutting corners. Initial setup was not intuitive at all. Graphics were horrible and colors looked washed down. Customer service said thats just the way it is. Eventually figured out how to get the settings right and Ill give it - when it works it looks pretty good. However, every now and then when I try to turn on my computer doesnt register this as a 4k monitor. Ive tried a lot of different methods but the only thing that works is unplugging, factory resetting then replugging the monitor. At this price point its simply unacceptable that they didnt work out the bugs with this thing, and offer the terrible customer service/warranty that they do. I would advise you steer clear of this monitor, and look at the Gigabyte M28 or wait off until theres better 4k monitors on the market, because I feel like I got scammed with this.

I dont know if they are dumping defective products on Amazon marketplace or they genuinely make terrible quality monitors. Im about to return my second one for the same light bleed issues that the first one had. These monitors retail at $1200, they should be absolutely flawless, but they look considerably worse than a monitor thats 1/3 the price. I honestly wouldnt want this product if it were free.

Great monitor for gaming. One thing to be careful of if using with a PS5. The new VRR setting can cause flickering in games and even on the PlayStation’s menus. Be sure to set this setting to off and you’ll be fine. The IPS design of the monitor is what causes the issues

In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer"s XV282K gaming monitor - the UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD Radeon technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less, low dimming and ComfyView display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display. (UM.PX2AA.V01).
