After sending back my other computer (an Acer) I paid the extra 100$ and got this guy for gaming. After 30 minutes of updates....It blew my mind how awesome this machine is. The keyboard lighting is fully customizable. It has overclock setting built in so you do not have to crash your computer a bunch of times to get it right. I play all my games on Ultra and it is 100fps+. I am so glad I went with the Predator and will be staying with this from now on. Also, I will be installing a 1tb SSD in the empty slot to add more space. Cant say enough good things about how light, stylish and out of the box ready for gaming it is!

This has a few feautres that are cool, custom keyboard color and fan control; however, the laptop I bought from ASUS for the same price 5 years ago was far superior in gaming quality. I excpected at least the equivalent. Do not buy this for gaming until they realize youre supposed to increase in quality as time moves forward, not the other way around. I was never going to buy from ASUS again after I bought a lemon last time, but gave it second thought. Never second guess yoruself, ASUS is a ripoff company.

EDIT: This laptop gets WAY TOO HOT. I actually no longer recommend purchasing it. It is very capable and can do almost anything, but the cooling system is entirely insufficient. I consistently get temps of 80-90 degrees Celsius playing WoW Classic with nothing else in the background but Spotify. That game is a hundred years old and should not be taxing on the system, even at max graphics. Very concerned and disappointed about the investment Ive made.

This Acer laptop worked great for about a year of light use. Sometimes I would only use it to play some games once per week. Right after my one year warranty expired, the screen just stopped working. It stays black even when the laptop powers on. I called Acer about this issue and they wanted me to pay to ship it to them for repairs because the warranty expired. A $1,200 laptop should last longer than a year. Im very disappointed.

This is a great laptop, I first ordered an ASUS Tuf and returned it due to it not starting up. After further research, I decided to spend the extra few hundred dollars on this laptop. Out of the box, downloaded games such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege and all work excellent. I bought a hard wire for the internet thinking I would need it to prevent lag for gaming, but have not once needed to connect the cable and the cable is still in its box....................ONE THING: I do want to point out is that this laptop will get HOT fast for gaming. It does have the turbo fan, which is much needed, and the turbo helps cool down the laptop, but the turbo feature is loud. I just recently ordered a fan pad and still waiting for that to come in. The only suggestion is if you order this laptop (GREAT LAPTOP AND FAST) I would suggest ordering a cooling pad also. This way you can have it cooled down maybe more quietly without having to run the Turbo fan on the laptop. I have no regrets ordering this laptop. VERY, VERY PLEASED with its performance and would recommend to anyone looking to game. I bought the 512Gb for the extra space. I hope this laptop lasts me a while cause it is AWESOME!!!

I bought this for my 16 year old son, and he Loves it! He says it great for gaming and for doing his school work. He is very happy so far.

We were never able to boot up the laptop. Customer support was frustrating. We returned the laptop.

Bought this in April 2020. Cant play with it until it gets repaired because the s key came off. Contacted insurance to send it to see if it can be repaired. The manufacturer said they dont cover physical damage.

Great gaming laptop!!

Ive had this computer for almost 4 years now, it works as great as ever. I dont know much about computers really, but, its still quite fast for a little laptop and works great! It is OK for gaming, a good first gaming or casual gaming computer, but you are at a disadvantage without the builds that other people have. it has virtually no battery life whatsoever, so dont plan on using this without a charger because it will die in under an hour. Other than that, I seriously love this thing, it was totally worth it. It is very portable, and honestly, there are chargers everywhere nowadays so the battery life is really not a big deal and never really bothered me.
