I am writing this amendment to my review on my older laptop, which the Predator was supposed to replace. Why is this? Well, lets follow the timeline.

GAMING:

Great machine, thank you!

Im very pleased with this laptop! It runs very smooth and the screen looks great. The battery life isnt the best though; typically it lasts a few hours before giving me the battery low notification. The fans when the laptop is cooling down are much quiter than I expected them to be. Overall, its working great!

This computer is bought less than a year ago, and I have these ongoing issues:

Oh wow does it get hot. Like, so hot you cant even touch the keyboard. Not only that but the cpu basically cooks itself, 92°C on a basic game. Its so bad I tried returning it but got no help at all, so...

I had my old gaming laptop stolen and it was so expensive that I just didnt get a new one for a long while. I saw this one on special one weekend, so I just bit the bullet and grabbed it came very quickly and it is wayyy faster than my other laptop that was almost 5X the cost. after I loaded all of my games and work programs (I use a ton of programs for many companies) it still boots up in 3 seconds and the wireless internet is way faster. and the turbo mode button is nutsss. Anyway. Great buy.

Purchased September 2020. The graphics card would crash and force a restarts. Stopped powering on via battery or power cable May 2021. Sent it back for repairs and when it returned the sound card doesn’t work and now windows will not boot.

It is really great for gaming and the screen display is just unreal! My cpu never gets over 85c and with the turbo mode on it stays around 65c. It runs games like squad, escape from tarkov, insurgency sandstorm very well

Overall, I have greatly enjoyed this product. The screen is fantastic for most games and for streaming videos as well. The hardware works well together to play most mid-tier games with reasonable FPS and graphics. Large scale simulations requiring many calculations per second run smoothly even with stressing parameters.
