> 3 dayFirst and foremost, this thing performs wonderfully with games, nearly everything I throw at it runs at 60 - 100 fps or higher. 144 Hz screen is great, but theres no G-Sync so theres still tearing like on any other monitor. It stays shockingly cool when in turbo mode, I played a few hours of Risk of Rain 2 and the air coming out of the PC felt only slightly warmer than the ambient air. It runs my Valve Index VR kit extremely well while in turbo mode, runs the Master Chief Collection and DOOM Eternal like a boss. However, like other gaming laptops your performance and battery life are going to absolutely tank the minute you unplug the laptop. Be prepared to find an outlet or dont bother at all. This is basically a desktop with an uninterruptible power supply and an ultra-slim form factor (compared to a desktop). That said, it feels sturdy, installing two additional SSDs (one NVME, one not) was super easy and took minutes to pull off, it always boots quickly and the network card allows for super fast download speeds. In short, I love it.

> 3 dayI was looking for a gaming laptop for my son. The Acer predator was the perfect laptop. Great screen 144mhz and fantastic specifications for the money. He is able to play every game he wants and has really enjoyed the laptop.

> 3 dayWhile I do play older games, Ive had no issue with this computer after a month and Ive played over 100hrs of online games in that time (Im loving quarantine). Boots up within 4 seconds; battery life isnt great...but pretty typical of comparable laptops.

> 3 dayThis is a very good laptop for the price when I bought it last year. Im very happy of it, it helps me very well on my projects applications developments because compiles very fast, and it is very good for gaming even if it doesnt have the best specs I can enjoy games with it.

> 3 dayDisclaimer: Im not a gamer (I have consoles for that) so Im not rating game performance. I will say that even sitting idle, the CPU seems to run warm. It reached 45 Celsius quickly. So I wonder how it would do under heavy load...

Greater than one weekworks great and its really fast, the only problem is Waves MaxxAudio. It makes the audio sound horrible, and it uses the camera to try to adjust sound based on your position. Just disable it.

30-03-2025Absolutely love the build, form factor (pretty slim and portable for a gaming laptop), screen (vibrant and responsive), aesthetics (Im a fan of the blue colour scheme) and performance. The keyboard could do with a little more travel because sometimes I keep typing extra letter unnecessarily but it isnt difficult to get used to. The trackpad is smooth and works well with no problems.I take the laptop to university every day and I do have to take the charger with me which is not ideal but it doesnt add a lot of extra weight so you are still able to run to class when youre late. I use this laptop for gaming when I travel and I have a more powerful desktop at home. In the main games that I run (PUBG, Apex Legends, GTA V, etc...) I noticed a difference of 10-15 frames per secind (my desktop is equipped with a GTX 1080ti and a Ryzen 7 1700) but all the games maxed out still run well above 60 frames per second.
