I use it for gaming but have to keep charger attached as battery life is awful.

Im not a huge fan of gaming laptops in general (desktop preferred). And Acer would not normally come to mind when you think of high-end gaming systems (Alienware or ASUS are probably more likely to be on you list). However, with the specs on this Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-54-760S, it deserves a spot VERY close to the top of your list! And price point is very competitive floating around (depending on when/where you purchase) $1300.00 - 1400.00.

a fan does not work. play high, only 1 fan works.

This thing is a beast but it takes too much work to get it setup and the fans just howl over any little thing. If you know how to handle something this powerful Im sure it can be awesome.

This laptop is pretty fast and great. Only thing is that it might heat up pretty easily.

I am constantly using mine. Perfect for gaming on the go! Great great quality! Kind of want to get more.

Me parece que en desempeño esta muy cerca de la Acer Nitro 5 del mismo año.. pero en acabado de material es claramente mejor. Se calienta un poco pero nada que no se pueda solucionar aumentando la velocidad del enfriamiento o sumandole una base enfriadora.

I previously had an older version of this acer predator back when the 1060 was out and felt it was time for an upgrade. This laptop out of all of the gaming laptops that I previewed had the best spec that I could find without completely breaking the bank. The 3060 runs 1080p gaming at 120+mhz refresh rate easily. Its quiet and I have no cons to think of so far a month in.

What the title says. Its great for gaming if you want this laptop to never last then go ahead let it push and die in a year. I played games like hell let loose, halo infinite, elden ring, assassins creed valhalla and also do a lot of rendering work and while its normal for these games to get these laptops hot, this thing went up to 90c to 100c hot. This is with a cooling pad, and the fan running at turbo and some how managed to hit tjmax. The build is decent and has seen some abuse such as accidentally dropping it a few times and never noticing any substantial drop in performance. On the other hand, too bad itll drop in performance anyways when the interior gets so hot that it needs turbo on all the time as the cpu gets so hot that it lowers the clock speed to save itself. Also, The predator button is the stupidest design choice ive ever seen and the program itself manages to take 20% of cpu load and make the laptop hotter by having the program running by itself. I dont care if I can change the predator buttons settings, as having it where the num lock is annoying and shows how much acer cared about keyboard design when they first made this.
