This laptop just stopped working in less than a year for no reason. Acre doesn’t care to take responsibility. If you want a longer lasting laptop stay away from this Acer Swift X.

This is a very great laptop and offers a lot of specs that you normally see in higher priced laptops. This laptop is great for the price point and is very fast and has a nice sleek/light weight design. The fan can get loud at times, but it is expected since the laptop only has one fan. The laptop is great for students who wish to run software like AutoCAD and Matlab. It can also handle light gaming. I have been able to run games such as metal gear solid 5 with no issues. Warzone runs fine but will begin to heat up the laptop more quickly. The laptop also comes with an extra SSD slot with makes upgrading a breeze, no need to do any cloning if you do not know how to. You only need to format the new SSD to run. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone look for a great laptop in the 1000-dollar range.

If you plan to do anything on the internet, this laptop is not for you. Although an essential tool in 2022, the wifi was not one of the priorities when creating this laptop and it shows. There is no reliable internet connection after 4 weeks of use.

Acer released an update that caused my USB-C (which I need for connection to all my other peripherals) to stop working. I contacted support and they told me to factory reset (AKA delete all my data) and it might work. Since I have classwork due soon that I cannot delete, that is not an option. The rep told me it probably would not work anyway. I was then peddled a repair for $669.00 (for just a USB-C replacement) or told to hire a third party service (I forget their name now). Completely worthless company and I will absolutely never purchase another Acer product after seeing how little support they offer.

Crossing point of CPU & GPU power, battery time, weight & dimension.

Solid performance, only two complaints and neither are big deals to me. One, I dislike the champagne color of the lid. Second, the touch pad is not super accurate or responsive. I use a mouse most of the time personally so its not a big deal to me. Might be something that could be solved with settings around acceleration or something, or a driver issue. Solid laptop still around outside of that though. Keyboard has more travel than most lower end laptops and it performs like a gaming laptop.

Not worth it. Do not like the design, also thick and heavy, old product.
