Greater than one weekThis is a pretty large blanket for a baby and will last through many years if judiciously cared for. Its wonderful for travel as well and is the perfect sleep companion for a child in the car seat. Ive found myself snuggling next to the blanket after a wash and what Ive found that it stays softer if you dry it in the dryer at medium setting rather than hanging it to dry which is how I dry most of my cottons. Be careful with getting it next to velcro or any other abrasive fabric. Since the muslin resembles gauze, it can get caught easily in hooks and zippers if you wash it with clothing that has these. I always wash these separate from clothing items such as jeans and baby bibs. Other than that, its a pretty good product although pretty overpriced for what it is. $25 would be more like what Id rather pay for this but understand that theres a price for comfort and novelty. We have one for each kid, one with giraffe motif and another in pink medallion.

> 3 dayI was a little concerned to pull the trigger on this blanket based off others reviews of the blanket pulling out of the seam on first wash but, I have to say I love it! I really wanted this sweet blanket for my newest girl and wasn’t crazy about the price but it went on sale and I was able to get it almost half off! I just washed it, i have a front loader, normal (not gentle) cycle on warm/cold with regular detergent AND SOFTENER with a couple other blankets and I pulled it out to put in the dryer and it’s already snuggly soft zero damaged from the wash. All seams look perfect. My guess is those with pulled seams might be using a top loser with an agitator. The fabric when wet gets tough and I imagine that getting wrapped about the agitator would cause the type of damage they reported. All in all gorgeous design with lots of spring colors to go with just about any pastel palette. It is large (way bigger than I was expecting) it’ll grow with her very nicely and is so soft. It has a nice weight to it without being too heavy.
