The cats liked them once catnip was added, before they ignored the scratch pads. Nice size, the depth of the pads is good & the price is great! No unpleasant odors to the cardboard. Will buy again.

This cat scratching area is composed of 5 separate corrugated cardboard pieces that are stacked on each other inside a larger box. It comes with some catnip to sprinkle in the corrugation holes, and Bingo! Kitty goes right for it and exercises his sharp little claws like crazy. We do not want him to scratch furniture, so if he goes to a chair, we pick him up and redirect to this box. The board pieces are reversible, so it is like buying 10 surfaces. If one board gets really worn out, toss it and go to the next one. Genius!

This was a good value in a 5 pack of replacement cardboard scratching mats. Both sides can be utilized so further bang for your buck. Does not fit in all scratching frames so measure first or can be just put in a box that fits or used as they are.

So much cheaper than buying in the store. Got our cat one for the first time from a store and he loved it and tore it up less than two weeks (hence the cardboard pieces on the rug we didnt vacuum up yet) and sat on it constantly. Less than a minute of putting this one on the ground and he crawled right in (hes 15 pounds and fits in the box) and the best part is the cardboard and cat nip stays inside the box and all I have to do is flip over the scratcher when it gets rough and I have four more replacements after that. So convenient, clean, and long lasting. Will definitely be buying more.

A nice pack of cat scratching boards. They are thinner and smaller than some in the store but my cat did not care. I found placing them strategically throughout the house worked great, as he had access to scratch HIS things whenever he wanted. No more scratching human things!

These cat scratching pads are not the right size to fit the existing frames that I had, but they work just as fine as it is. They are Madewell, or robust, and were clean and nice smelling when they arrived. My cats were very excited to start, scratching on them, with or without any catnip encouragement, and have been very happy with the scratching pads since I put them down. I have absolutely no complaints.

Great purchase! I love that there are 5 double sided interchangeable inserts! Should last a good amount of time!

When I ordered these, this listing was for three inserts and no box. Thats what Im (and several others) are reviewing. I measured the width on these and they matched my standard-sized scratchers, so I got these as replacements. What I didnt check was the length — they are about an inch too short. Ill have to wedge them to use them, but my cats probably wont care. They love cardboard scratchers, so these will make the run through the claw-mill and scatter their ashes throughout the house, and my cats will love it, and I will tolerate it. :)

I have a 13 lb Maine Coon cat. Shes a thick kitty, and bigger-boned than the average female housecat. Ive noticed a lot of these cardboard scratchers on the market are really skinny, and the cardboard can be bad quality with burrs everywhere. These are a good large size, so my cat can actually scratch it while comfortably standing on it. She took to it immediately, scratching it all up and taking a nap on it. She always has a cardboard scratcher in the house, and they can be of such varying costs and quality. This set of five scratching boards is such a great value for the quality of the cardboard. There are no decorative paper sides on the boards like some others have, but I would rather have quality cardboard over a decorative side. I dont know why they are so expensive in a brick-and-mortar, but I will for sure be repurchasing these again here on Amazon in the future. My cat says theyre 5 stars!
