It would turn off and on, blinking the display, attempting to charge then cancelling charge on the devices plugged in for testing. I returned this junk for a refund.

> 24 hourI bought this primarily to monitor the charging system on my 1970 F100. I had in mind running wire through the firewall to a voltage gauge I’d have to mount. Then I found this, and it just plugs into the cigarette lighter. Bonus ... I’ll be able to charge my phone (haven’t tried that yet). It does read a bit low...a multimeter at the battery read about 14.2 while this read 14.0, but thats not surprising as some voltage drop should be expected by the time the juice runs through the harness, to the fuse panel, and then to the cigarette lighter port.

> 24 hourThis unit is of solid construction material like metal, heavy, but substantially made. This is not flimsy by any means and offers a lot of flexibility for charging as well as letting you know the state of your battery. I purchased this to use in the airplane...to give me a voltage reading as well as possibly power a device...while avoiding the cost of 275AMUs for an in-cockpit solution sans installation charge. The unit boasts 12-24v input, and 5v 3Ax2 output, 9v 2Ax2 output, or 12v 1.5Ax2. Having a choice of LED color was helpful. I chose amber because it’s less jarring in the cockpit at night.
