> 3 dayI have purchased many many strings of rgb leds and the adhesive on them were always hit or miss. This strand by Alitove has a foam tape backing which seems to be much stronger then just the normal adhesive glue. This will also give it some insulation if you are planning to put this on metal (I have had other strips short out through the adhesive before). All the leds light up and are displaying the correct colors with the control I tested with. Only time will tell if they are reliable long term, but they feel much better made then many other brands.

Greater than one weekThese lights worked great I made sure I had a clean surface let the adhesive set in the sun to make it a little more sticky like it advised too put in boat and it lasted for a couple days then fell off the only thing I could suggest is getting some kinda glue or tack and put it about every foot to give it extra strength bc the adhesive alone will not hold

> 3 dayPurchased a roll of these lights to wrap a 4 ft fiberglass pole to make a whip light for my side by side. First roll I got was great... adhesive was strong and held the lights in place while I wrapped the pole. Got to the end and was able to get the heat shrink tubing over it and everything went without any problems. Light whip looks and functions great... nice and bright and I love the black PCB look. HOWEVER... THAT WAS THE EXCEPTION!!! Bought another roll to do another fiberglass pole and before I could wrap 2 feet of the pole I started hearing this faint popping sound. The silicone covering started to crack and peel in several areas. By the time I had 3 feet wrapped the silicone was flaking off... no way I was going to be able to make that work. Peeled it off the pole and sent it back and ordered a replacement. Third roll just arrived and I set to work on making the second light whip. Everything went great. Got the pole wrapped without any issues... same as the first. Then, as I began to work the shrink wrap over the lights and pole I began to hear that faint popping again. By the time I got the shrink wrap over the pole there were no less than 20 pieces of silicone flaking off the light strip. I went ahead and heated the wrap getting some of the silicone to re-seat on the led strip, but several either broke off inside the wrap or would not lay down agains the lights and so there are several bumps and divots all up the pole. Now the casual person will not see them, and you certainly wont know they are there at 50mph running through the desert. But I KNOW THEY ARE THERE, and I know the poor quality of this product. The description states Using flexible copper circuit board, you can gently bend it to an arc. Please NEVER rudely bend it to right or acute angle, otherwise the circuit board and silicone coating will crack. Well, I didnt rudely bend it to 90 or any acute angle... I wrapped to around a fiberglass rod and it cracked. Not happy with the end result... it still works so for now I will use it, but I think when I decide to re-build the light (and I will as I am very particular about my things) I will look at other brands of lights. Its too bad really... they looked like quality lights from their appearance. Oh yeah... one last thing. The picture shows them wound on the roll with the lights facing out, but when you get them, the lights are wound to the inside so the silicone coating is already set OPPOSITE to how you are going to mount the lights, so from the very start you are risking the silicone cracking because it is pre-conditioned to bend up... so no wonder when you flex them down around something they crack.

> 3 dayI received this LED light strip on June 6, installed under my kitchen cabinets June 10, today is June 20 and the LEDs are burnt out in 3 places! Also extremely hot to touch. My other LED light strips (different brand) are warm but not hot. I guess you get what you pay for! I do not recommend this product.

> 3 dayOne month later and still going I used a foot of this to replace my burnt out third brake light in my spoiler (Some kind of aftermarket spoiler that the previous owner put on and I could not find the part online) It definitely gets wet and takes the heat of the Texas sun. Edit: 1.5 years later still working great
