I am 66 years old and find my immune system is not what it used to be. My last flu shot gave me more problems that I ever had in my life. I searched on immune system, and started using these pills. I have many allergies that bother me year round. I settled on 4 a day and have noticed a difference, but am still in the wait and see area. Many people have a problem with the size of these pills. They are smaller and have a coating to help swallowing, than the 3 1000mg Ester C pills I also take daily. When I was having a problem getting my Ester C huge pills down, I was advised by a coworker to use warm to hot water when taking my daily pills, and that has made a big difference. I take the pills that bother me most as the first of the day, and I dont have any problem with the rest. Not panicking helps too. I will probably keep using these, along my Ester C, until my next flu shot.

My mouth REALLY appreciates this product. I tend to get canker sores when I eat acidic foods, so avoid those as much as possible. A recent favorite flavored water contained, of course, citric acid and my gums and the roof of my mouth had ulcers and were not healing. Thought I would give Lysine a shot. The biggest ulceration had healed ina few days. THAT hadnt happened before. Yes, everyone is unique but my mouth is EXTREMELY grateful for this product.

This is one of the better deals Ive come across. Good price for the quantity and nice that they have 1000mg without it costing a lot more than the lower dosages. Ive tried many brands of lysine, and all, as well as this one , are very large pills, not sure you can avoid that unless you buy lysine powder.

I ordered the double pack one of my bottles had the plastic safety wrap on it and the second bottle didnt. Edit: company sent an extra bottle for free to make up for the mistake.

Let me start this off with every person is different. Im assuming this will work similar with other people as it has with me though. Ok, now to the review. I have gotten cold sores since... well since as far back as I can remember. Im almost 21 years old now and I am very self-conscious about having cold sores. It gives me such bad anxiety and I get panic attacks and blehh... its not good. Frankly, it makes me want to hide away and just never go out ever again. I used to get cold sores every month or so, and sometimes 2+ times a month in the winter. It devastated me. I heard about lysine from my doctor because I couldnt afford to keep up the prescribed stuff and he said that Lysine would be better because its preventative and still helps get rid of them when happen to get a cold sore. I ordered this quite a while ago and started taking 1 pill twice a day. I didnt have any cold sores. At all. When winter first started this year, I went to visit family in california and got sick from them. I was stressing out about a lot of things (the possibility of getting a cold sore was one of the main stressors), so of course, I got a cold sore. I started taking 2 pills 3 times a day. Im sure if it was possible to overdose on this, I would have. The cold sore went through its normal cycle, but a lot quicker. Winter isnt over yet, so Ive been taking 2 pills twice a day and I havent had one again (yet). I really owe so much to L-Lysine. I know this was a long review, but I hope it helps someone. I use this when feeling a bit under the weather... and will pop a few to build up resistance. Maybe this is anecdotal info... but I use this and dont get sick like I normally would.

Ive been taking these for years to prevent canker sores and they really seem to do the trick! I think this is a great quality product.

My husband takes these for his canker sores and it seems to help if he takes them consistently and gets enough sleep. Usually he gets a million all over his throat and gums which leaves him in so much pain but with these he doesn’t get as many or any at all sometimes.

I love this stuff, when I felt a little sick, popped 2 of these in the morning and afternoon and it works quick..Will order again. Update..I was asked a question and didnt have an answer, but I found it I bought in Nov and expiration in 04/21.. This bottle has 360 capsules. I did experiment and didnt take consecutively for two weeks and boy my immune system went haywire. My allergies kicked in so bad. I started taking 6 a day for a week and it calmed down. Now, Im down to four now. I learned you can build a tolerance in your body so you can go to one a day. Thats just my experience.

These pills really did surpass my expectation. They are big but slick and easy to swallow. I was surprised. What I like most is they do not have a aftertaste. I take them first thing in the morning. I have not gotten strep throat or a sinus infection like I usually do around this time of year and my skins texture and complex has gotten much smoother and clearer. The pills also seem to give me all day energy so thats definitely a plus. I will be purchasing these often. Thanks
